The man, IHSAHN, is embarking on a fucking tour of NORWAY, a million miles (and dollars) from Australia. I hate living here. This news has made me so upset. :'( If only I could go.
Also, now that he is finally touring he might enjoy the experience and tour again in a couple of years or so, and maybe he will come to the US next: The US is more doable for you than Europe, no? Or maybe by then you will have enough money and time to make it over to Europe ;)
I can only hope so :( Do you think there's any chance of him ever venturing to Australia? God I hate this place, we never get anything good. Seriously. It frustrates me so much, no-one ever comes here. The most exciting show I've got lined up in the next 6 months is Satyricon, and even that's a rare occasion, god dammit.
Probably not: Particularly since he does not like touring :( Maybe your new school offers study abroad in Europe which you can take advantage of down the road?! (Yeah, I know this does not help you feel better about the situation at hand :()
Since I am not undertaking any European studies at University, I doubt very much that I could get involved with something like that :( Which is another thing that has upset me recently - I am dying to travel to Europe and study a European language but it seems I have chosen the path of Asian studies. I love Asian languages too but it's driving me nuts that I don't have any connections to Europe/Scandinavia. Argh! I'm really starting to resent Australia! >.
If it is really something you want badly, than it is not too late for you to change tracks - People have done so at later points in their lives (after college or years of work) In my opinion starting a new college is a great excuse for a new start...but you probably really want to do both...dilemmas ;)
Yeah, you're right. :) I'm going to stick with asian languages for a few years, and maybe after that I will have the qualifications to study something else... we'll see I guess. I'm feeling a bit more optimistic about it now.
I doubt this, because he hates being away from his family as much as he hates the company of drunk roadies :\ Touring Norway is no big deal for him, he can sleep in his own bed every night :P He said that he might do special concerts or festival, however. Let's hope he choose a North American one ...
