Earth Day!
Consider, even if just for the moment,the earth as Gaia.......an organism.
An organism that has evolved over two billion years, complex systems for
cleansing, for renewal and regeneration and has kept those systems in balance.
At some point we stop being merely polluters and become part of the pollution.
Gaia has systems for dealing with that as well; fire, flood, hurricane, tornado,
pandemic and famine. (Did I mention anything that you haven't seen in the news recently?)
In the Gaia scenario, the Earth will return to it's pristine state.
The only question is, will there be any humans here to see and
appreciate it?
