Believeing in EVERYTHING
seems to carry the same penalties
as believeing in NOTHING.

But it gives life to HOPE.

I really don't agree. To believe in everything is ALSO to believe in nothing, thus it does carry some of the same penalties, but also at the same time it's wildly different. The penalty of believing in nothing is to have a cold outlook on life, that nothing matters and that no matter what you do you'll just wind up a decaying mass of flesh that will feed the things that live in the deep secrets of the earth. One who believes in nothing becomes calculated and distant, though unsure why because why does it matter?

One who believes in everything will without fail overwhelm him or herself, because the sheer unadulterated passion that inevitably must come with believing in everything is so powerful. One who believes in everything will become confused, for is not nothing a part of everything? One who believes in everything will be judged harshly and without forgiveness by those who believe selectively, or believe in nothing at all.

I, personally, would also rather believe than not, because to believe in everything is to live without limits, and to hold within one's self the power to change anything that one should choose, if only a person would grasp it and hold it. To believe in nothing is a choice, but to believe in everything is just something that happens to you. A person can choose to not believe, but cannot choose to believe--Because belief is not something we control, but instead a part of us that begins as a spark. We can choose to smother it, but if we do not it will ultimately grow into a raging inferno of power and passion and knowledge.

And yes, hope.
