[Sasori does feel a bit of awkwardness at having Leader see this because of its intimate nature, but he isn't at all ashamed of this relationship and doesn't particularly care who knows about it.]
...Yes.
It is a more recent development. The aftermath of the war made me...reevaluate our partnership in some ways.

I see.
Yes, the gods are cruel.
I notice their punishment was designed to be much worse towards us than towards our enemies. It is true that, as I had pre-existing bonds, I was not so devastated as I would have been in other circumstances.
I believe we have used our experiences to strengthen our organization.
This pleases me to see.
Konohagakure, by contrast, has fallen apart. How weak and pathetic.
I always knew the great nations were rotten and brittle at their cores.
Yes, it's clear that the gods favor our enemies, considering they intervened on their behalf. I suppose it's only to be expected that divine oppressors would side with the earthly ones.
[Sasori nods.]
I've seen it as well, that Akatsuki has truly come together. I think many of us did not realize how similar the experiences that shaped us really were before we came here. Of course, the nature of the organization's operations in the world we came from did make it more difficult for us to form stronger ties, outside of those with our partners. Here, we have become truly united by a common purpose.
I'm unsurprised that our enemies proved so unstable. It's clear that Konoha shinobi possess no self-discipline or sense of duty to their comrades whatsoever. They're far too soft to cope with even the slightest hardships, and abandon each other whenever they face any true difficulties.
