Today
In the car while driving to work, the radio reminded me that Today was The Day.
At 11:45 a.m., I scurried up from the lab to the office. My officemates/coworkers were huddled in front of the computer screen, watching the streaming video from CBC. (May I just say, I love being Canadian? :D)
I have to admit, I laughed quite a bit when the inaugural swearing in went a little awry. Now that I read up on it, it was the Chief Justice's fault, because he didn't say it correctly the first time. But...then Obama repeated it incorrectly in the end? Is that bad? I kind of feel like he didn't swear in properly, through no fault of his own. And...Obama originally voted against Roberts' appointment? XO Not that I blame him in the least, but I kind of wish it had gone 100% smoothly for him. <333
In regards to the speech, I think my coworker said it succinctly: Obama's "the best speaker in the world".
