sigh. sadness. so much sadness. i particularly liked the way the timeline jumped around - despite this happening, it wasn't difficult or confusing to understand the order of events. however, it did just make the story that much more sadder :(

When he gets closer, everything’s gone but his lips floating in the air, still mouthing to Harry and he’s trying hard to riddle it out, follows every curve, every shape until it’s clear to him, so clear he can almost hear it.

“Move on.”

gosh, that part broke me.
whenever moments like that happen in fic, i want to beat my fists against the wall and say no, he can't move on! they're meant to be together... (a sign that this is an OTP to end all OTPs)

“I love you and that’s all that matters.”

Louis fixes his eyes on Harry’s and looks at him for a long time before smiling and running a finger through his hair.

“I love you too.”

sob sob sob sob sob. this is all so beautifully crafted.

i know i'm going all over the place, but -

They’re not there, probably never were, but there’s a knot forming in his stomach and an emptiness growing in his heart, and he slides further down the covers and shuts his eyes, trying to convince himself that he didn’t just look into Louis’s eyes.

UGH, MY HEART. i loved this. broke my heart, but i loved it.
