The Skull and Bones of JE (aka On to shallower things)
I'm mostly posting this here so I can find it again because it fascinates me.
As of June 2006, he became part of an unofficial group within Johnny's Entertainment called "No Border", which includes members: Yamashita Tomohisa of NEWS, Murakami Shingo of Kanjani8, Satou Atsuhiro (former Hikaru Genji), Matsumoto Jun of Arashi, Domoto Koichi of Kinki Kids, Yamaguchi Tatsuya of TOKIO, and Takizawa Hideaki of Tackey & Tsubasa. It was a group formed when the 8 members from different JE groups met up for dinner and decided to name themselves "NO BORDER". They are known to interact freely, bypassing the sempai-kouhai relationships formed by JE. There is a 7 part round-robin on their "jwebs" about the formation of the group. Each member has a specific colour - White, Black, Red, Pink, Purple, Gold, Blue, Grey. However, who holds which colour is still unknown.

Basically, the (debatably) most successful member of each major group is part of a secret, unofficial society in which the members act like equals and manipulate the world. The "most successful" part is qualified by the fact that I know very little about groups other than NEWS and Arashi (plus KAT-TUN isn't included which is very WTF [unless they were saving a spot for Jin =P Is June 2006 after he went on leave?]), but still...doesn't that sound a hell of a lot like Skull and Bones?
It's vaguely creepy and very interesting, and if I ever learn enough about JE I'll fic it. Until never because JE is an amorphous, shifting conglomerate of boy bands then, I'll just ponder it in my free time.
Edit: Silly me, Jin didn't go on leave till last October, which problematizes my theory. I maintain that it does not invalidate it though - and if they add Green or something to their colors, I'm going to assume they pulled him in. (Note me not considering the possibility that it'll be Kame. Also note me not considering the possibility that a KAT-TUN member won't even be part of it. ^^)
