More Meming

May 04, 2007 23:55

I meant to take a nap, but overslept, which makes today too unproductive for the part of the week in which it's occurring (aka study period).  Guess that's what I get for staying up late to write the plot-bunny while already out of it.  So, since my brain still resembles fried eggs (less scrambled now and more of an omelet), another meme ganked from tinyangl who got it from
insane_desire.  (Incidentally, what's the protocol on crediting?  How far back do you credit something like this?)

Anyway, meme time!

*DONT LOOK AT THE QUESTIONS FIRST OR IT WILL RUIN IT*

1. List down 12 character/people/idols etc. that first come into your mind.
2. Next to it, list down ONE trait that you think you are similar with this person.
3. Answer the following questions corresponding to that number in detail.

Questions:
1. What characteristic of this person is similar to you?
2. Would you date this person?
3. If you were stuck on a deserted island, and found a boat that is made only for ONE person, would you attempt to save this person?
4. If you knew this person in real life, do you think you would be good friends?
5. Do you have a crush on this person?
6. If you were to give this person a profession, other than the one he already has?
7. If there was one thing about this person you could change what would it be?
8. If you could choose a song to describe this person, what would it be.
9. Choose another person from the list that would be a good match for this person
10. If this person would commit a crime what would it be and would he be caught?
11. What is this person's best physical characteristic?
12. This person is proposing to you. How would this person do it?

List:
1.  Akanishi Jin  - idiocy and/or sexiness  (depending on the mood I'm in)
2.  Kamenashi Kazuya - perfectionism
3.  Ueda Tatsuya - weirdness
4.  Junnosuke Taguchi - optimism
5.  Nakamaru - level-headedness
6.  Tanaka Koki - short temper
7.  Tsukino Usagi - boy craziness
8.  Chiba Mamoru - sarcasm
9.  Draco Malfoy - (occasional) prejudice
10.  Harry Potter - martyr complex
11.  Hermione Granger - know-it-all syndrome
12.  Heero Yuy - social inhibition

Answesrs:
1. What characteristic of this person is similar to you?
General idiocy/foot-in-mouth disease...except when I'm dancing.  I'm like a different person then.  Plus I like to think my hip-swiveling is pretty good. =P
2. Would you date this person?
Probably not. ^^  I want to mother him, for some reason.  He's absolutely adorable and there are times I find him attractive, but Kame =/= boyfriend in my mind.
3. If you were stuck on a deserted island, and found a boat that is made only for ONE person, would you attempt to save this person?
Maybe.  I dunno, I love Tat-chan and his hidden baka-ness, but I'm not that attached (yet).  Ask me in a couple of weeks, I'll probably have a different answer.  The boy is growing on me (dammit).
Maybe we can just stay on the island and write songs together.  XD
4. If you knew this person in real life, do you think you would be good friends?
Probably - Junno seems like a very sweet guy.  I don't think any of my friends are so unequivocally nice and unassertivethough, if only because I generally take that role.  He also seems like a hidden hentai so, hello, clearly we'd be BFF. =P
5. Do you have a crush on this person?
Yeah.  Not as much as JinJin, but definitely yes.  He's just a charismatic person; his personality brings life to any conversation KT has.  I really envy that ability of his to be really comfortable with anybody, anywhere.  I also have a huge fetish for people who make fun of others. ^^;;  It's where the fanfic!Draco love comes from.
6. If you were to give this person a profession, other than the one he already has?
Wow, um...maybe working in a convenience store or something?  Or construction?  Definitely NOT a gangster or anything resembling it - despite his style of dress, I don't think he has the personality type for this.  He cares too much about other people, feels too much.  Plus the boy gets all gaga over animals and children.  I know!  He could work at a zoo!
7. If there was one thing about this person you could change what would it be?
Her total idiocy.  Seriously, the girl's gonna be queen of the world, she needs to get her act together.  I really don't believe that the savior of the universe can be totally braindead.  The manga lets her mature a little, though, so it's mostly the anime I take issue with.
8. If you could choose a song to describe this person, what would it be.
Heh.  "Magic Man" by Heart.  It just popped into my head, but it's perfect.  (Now my head is playing Wicked Games by Chris Isaak.  Why is it being so random today?)
9. Choose another person from the list that would be a good match for this person
Really nobody; in the land of slash, it's Draco x Harry all the way. XD
10. If this person would commit a crime what would it be and would he be caught?
Inflating muggles unconsciously out of frustration.  And he has been.
Actually, for the (other) Savior of the Universe, he gets a lot of shit from people.  I blame Fudge.  I blame Fudge for nearly everything.
11. What is this person's best physical characteristic?
Her teeth!  Her bushy hair!  No really, the girl has personality.  (Does her brain also count?  It's a physical thing.)
12. This person is proposing to you. How would this person do it?
Umm.  Run before Relena violates her pacifism and sics Duo on me.

And another one...

1. Choose your top 5 guys and list them.
2. List 5 adjectives.
3. List 5 Verbs.
4. List 5 places.
5. List 5 nouns.
6. List 5 more guys.
7. Now align all lists and create a story/situation/sentence based on your answers. You have to use all the words in order. HAVE FUN!

I actually got really into the first and second prompts, so I didn't get to the rest.  Maybe Monday night?  I think I might post the first one as a drabble somewhere =)

1.  Doumeki - loquacious - run - Harajuku - A Sharpie marker - Yamashita Tomohisa

Doumeki Shizuka was not a loquacious person.  When Yuuko-san ordered him to run - her choice of words, not his - to Harajuku in order to get something vital to saving Watanuki yet *again*, he did not flail, or scream, or object in anyway.  Doumeki was not demonstrative, and he certainly wasn't Watanuki; unlike that idiot, he knew Yuuko requests, though unfathomable, were not frivolous or unreasonable.

Still, seeing the line of screaming girls in front of him, Doumeki did his equivalent of a Watanuki hissy fit - he sighed.  Loudly.  And when after an hour the line had barely moved, he sighed again.  Hopefully Yuuko-san's magic wasn't time-dependent, because it didn't look like he'd be able to fulfill her request anytime soon.

Finally, three hours later, he was two people away from the table.  Looking over the heads of the girls in front of him (luckily not hard since they were short, because he wouldn't have mustered the energy to look otherwise), he saw a boy in a leather jacket signing with a strong hand.  Three exhausted Sharpie markers lay to the right of the stack of photographs, 8 x 11, that he signed one after another, moving as if by rote.  Though he smiled and conversed with each person who approached, Doumeki had grown very adept at reading body language after months of watching Watanuki say, "Get away from me!" while his eyes cried out for help.  The boy's total exhaustion was apparent in the slight rounding of his shoulders and the subtle trembling of his hands when he took a break to massage them back into functionality.  Yet duty kept him upright and active.

Doumeki understood duty; a feeling of empathy came over him as he neared the table.  When the boy looked up at him and smiled, in a rare moment of feeling Doumeki said, "You don't have to sign."  The boy blinked; Doumeki, never one to be halted in his course of action, continued.  "You do your duty well.  I understand that.  But you don't have to sign for me."

For a moment, the boy's expression dropped.  Seconds later, it was back up - but the emotion that had revealed itself remained in the eyes that this time smiled along with the mouth.  "I want to, though," he said quietly.  Then, producing a new Sharpie, he took a photo from the stack, and looked up again at Doumeki.  "Name?"

"Yuuko-san."

The boy laughed; in the line behind Doumeki,  three high school girls fainted and had to be fanned by their friends.  "Looks like a friend forced you to come here, huh?"

"Mm."

The boy laughed again, chuckling quietly to himself.  Looking down at the photo, he autographed it quickly and efficiently.  Then he grabbed a second; Doumeki looked on, confused, as this one was marked with not only a signature but a sentence.  Finishing with a little flourish, the writing hand placed the marker neatly besides the pile, stacked the two photos on top of each other, and handed them to Doumeki.

"Here.  One for your friend and one for you."  Doumeki raised an eyebrow.  The boy grinned a little in response.  "Because I wanted to.  Thanks for coming," he said and the last bit was clearly a dismissal.

Doumeki, nodding once, turned away and looked for the exit.  Just before opening the door, however, he looked back.  The boy was already back into the routine, hands moving like the gears of a machine while he charmed the three high school girls (who had recovered quite rapidly from their fainting spells).  The chin was a little higher, however; Doumeki's keen eye saw that the back had straightened and the shoulders had relaxed.  Grunting to himself, Doumeki left.

Close to Yuuko-san's shop now, Doumeki removed the photos from the protective envelope he had stuck them in.  The first one was a standard message - "Thank you for all your support!" The second however, had this a different message.  It read:

To my friend Doumeki Shizuka-san,

(Doumeki's eyebrows both went up at this; though his name was visible on the school ID pinned to his jacket, he hadn't even seen the other glance at it.)

Keep being strong.  I will be too.

Yamashita Tomohisa

Watanuki would have flailed in joy.  Doumeki's lip quirked instead.  Tucking the photos back into the envelope, he continued along to the shop.

"This calls for a celebration!  I have the autograph of an idol, we need some sake to celebrate!  Watanuki, get to it please!"  Yuuko ordered happily.

Watanuki sighed.  Stepping around Maru and Moro, both of whom were bouncing around chanting, "Yamapi!  Idol NEWS!"  He concluded that perhaps it would be best if Doumeki never found out just how frivolous Yuuko-san really was.  Watanuki could not be everyone's doormat, and who knew to what extent Doumeki might carry his leech-like ways if given evidence that Watanuki would put up with it?  After all, Watanuki had a reputation to keep.

2.  Li Syaoran - obtuse - dance - Disneyworld - A barrel of fish - Chiba Mamoru

Syaoran had never felt so obtuse in his life.  After visiting numerous worlds, he had come to understand that each culture shared certain basic similarities.  Every group of people had some sort of music, some type of dance, some art form that became a communal event, meant to create a sense of unity through joy and pleasure.  But Syaoran had never seen a dance like this.

There was a parade marching through the town (which was stylistically separated into sections vastly different from their neighbors, another thing that Syaoran couldn't understand), hemmed in on either side by crowds of people.  The spectators were dressed normally enough, as were some of the parade participants.  The costumes of certain others, though, boggled the mind.  Why would anyone dress up as a dog?  Or a mouse?  No mouse could ever be that big - and in a dress no less, with a bow atop her gigantic, disproportionate head.  And why were people treating the mouse like it was a human?  If it was supposed to be a human, why bother wearing a mouse costume at all?

For the life of him, he could not understand this Disney World.

Sitting on a barrel of fish - he seemed to be in the pirate part of the town - Syaoran scanned the crowds for Fye and Kurogane.  The two had gone off to find food, taking Sakura with them, while Syaoran had agreed to scout the town for the feather.  Luckily, stuffed animals seemed to be pretty common here; no one looked twice at Mokona sitting on his shoulder, though one mother did ask him where he bought it.  Just now, he was watching Mokona happily munching on an ice-cream it had somehow procured when out of nowhere it jumped up and screamed, "It's here! There's a feather nearby!"

Quickly gathered himself, Syaoran jumped off the barrel and followed Mokona's directions, which mostly consisted of, "Hot! Cold!  Colder!  Ah, hot!"  Darting through the crowd, he had achieved a kind of grace when Mokona suddenly shouted, "STOP!"  Pulling up short, he bumped face-first into someone's arm.  As the other stumbled, Syaoran fought to maintain his balance; when he was sure he was steady, he looked over to see whether any damage had been done.  The boy he had run into seemed alright; still, out of courtesy, Syaoran asked, "Are you alright?  I'm really sorry about that."

Luckily, the boy seemed not to be annoyed.  Adjusting his green jacket, he replied,  "Nah, I'm okay. Are you?  The crowd's a little intense today, isn't it?" He said, looking around them.  Everyone was either rushing towards the parade or towards the shops nearby.

"I wouldn't know, really.  I've never been here before," Syaoran answered, hoping that it would be taken to mean that he had never been to this particular place before.  The other didn't seem surprised; still smiling easily, he said, "Neither have I.  Glad I'm not the only one.  Did your friends drag you here?"

Syaoran smiled back, unconsciously, in response to the boy's good humor.  "Sort of.  I'm looking for them, actually."

"Me too.  Did you make plans to meet somewhere?  I've got a map if you need it."

"No, that's alright.  They'll know where to find me.  By the way," Syaoran added, "My name's Li Syaoran.  Yours?"

"Cool.  Nice to meet you."  The boy stuck out his hand.  "My name is --"

"CHIBA MAMORU!"

Syaoran started.  The other boy - Mamoru, presumably - winced, then contorted his face into an expression of annoyance directed at the blond girl who came running up to them.  "I know my name, Odango, you don't have to scream it at me," he said, confirming Syaoran's guess.
The girl scowled.  "Where have you been?  Motoki-kun promised to watch the parade with us as soon as you got here, but you're late and now we won't be able to seee!"  She wailed, causing Mamoru to wince again.  He turned to Syaoran.

"This is one of the people I'm supposed to meet.  Li Syaoran, meet Tsukino Odango.  Odango, this is Li Syaoran," he said, smirking at her evident anger.

"My name is not Odango, it's Usagi.  U-SA-GI.  Oh, nice to meet you," she said, suddenly friendly as she turned to Syaoran.  He shook her offered hand, bemused.  "We've been looking for this idiot for a while.  Are you here with friends?"

Syaoran nodded.  "Yes, but they're off doing something.  They'll come find me when it's done."
"They left you here?"  Usagi frowned.  Before Syaoran could explained, though, her face lit up.  "Oh!  Why don't you come with us!"  Syaoran made an attempt to object, but she waved it away.  "Don't worry, we'll get you back to where you need to meet them later.  Come on, we're going to have so much fun!"  She grabbed Mamoru's arm.  "*You* I'm holding on to, just in case you decide to get 'lost'.  Now let's go!"

She hurried off through the crowd with Mamoru accompanying her unwillingly.  Syaoran, following behind, whispered to Mokona who had resumed his place Syaoran's shoulder, "So he's the one?"  At Mokona's nod, he smiled and weaved through the crowd closely behind Usagi, keeping Mamoru's green jacket in focus.  Perhaps Disney World wasn't so bad after all.

**I interpreted it to be Tokyo Disney Land, since this wouldn't work any other way.**
