It is a sad day when I watch a drama because of the field I'm in.
Nah, I think it's as good a reason as any. Even if nothing else in the show appeals to you, you can at least sit there and make constructive criticism! I never did get round to Code Blue, though. Too busy on a Kame kick. ^_^
But I guess that would presume that any of them had souls left
I think it's part of the condition for joining Johnny's - if you pass the audition, they make you sign away your soul. It would explain a lot about why they put up with some of the more humiliating things they have to do/costumes they have to wear.
he's still just a 23-year-old guy who wants a hot girl with big boobs.
Perhaps he just wants to date someone who's a bigger cup size than he is?
As for what's going on in KT fandom - nothing really, right now, since the guys haven't done anything since the concerts finished on 5th August. (And if you want to know how some of the concerts went, check my LJ memories.) Uh...let's see. Jin interviewed Jodie Foster in English on CKT, Kame's taken up learning the guitar again and been voted Best Jeanist for the third year running, Nakamaru's solo show was apparently very good, Ueda's solo concerts confirmed what most of us already knew - he's a total sadist who wants to enslave women and take over the world, Koki's so bored that he's spending his time trying to ask Kame out for hamburger, and Junno's having fun with his billiards. That probably covers it.
I'm terrible at asking questions, but let's have a go.
1) What do you find appealing about Yamapi? 2) Do you think you'll still be interested in JE in five years, or will you have moved on? 3) What's the best thing that's happened to you as a result of fandoms on the Internet? (Sorry, that's really badly phrased! I mean, do you have any particularly happy memories made by something fandom-related? Or something like that.)
**Sorry Mec, posted this 3 times because of fail!html T_T**
1) What do you find appealing about Yamapi? God, I've been thinking about this ever since this kick first started. It's really difficult to answer, actually. I think what initially got me into him was the Pin antics in SUMMARY backstage. You know I have a weak spot for the bakas.
It's not just that, though, or even mainly that. It's not even the dancing (although holy hell, he's really good. Like Akanishi good - except he remembers the steps.) I think there's something manly about him that gets me. You know, otoko rashiku. =P The silent, inexpressive nature he has only adds to that impression of him. It's what I find attractive about his acting (or lack thereof) too: even if the stoic nature of his characters is just his own borders on acting inability, in contrast to all the overacting, hyperactive JE boys, it's a bit soothing.
Also, being a little bit of a sadist and a rebel, I like seeing people like that break: all the dead-fish-eyes days are like a build up to one clip where he smiles or laughs. I think that's why the breakdown in Code Blue was so effective on me: I had been waiting for it to happen to Pi. It also explains why I squeal every time he makes a weird expression and gives the cops the finger in Kurosagi.
Honestly, though, sometimes I wonder if the hair is all that does it for me - 'cause I love Jin even on a bad hair day, but Pi with the blond hair? X_X
2) Do you think you'll still be interested in JE in five years, or will you have moved on? I don't think I'll ever move on - I don't really do that with my musical choices. What I do is diversify, and drop in and out of obsession. So I'll probably still be interested in JE...but the level of that interest will probably wane with time and newer musical obsessions. =P
3) What's the best thing that's happened to you as a result of fandoms on the Internet? (Sorry, that's really badly phrased! I mean, do you have any particularly happy memories made by something fandom-related? Or something like that.) I don't have a specific great memory, no, but I think fandom itself has been the best thing that's happened to me, in a way. Sure, it eats my time and screws up my work ethic, but it also brings me a lot of joy and entertainment, broadens my worldview, and makes me more accepting of and able to express myself. After all, without fandom I would never have considered going to Korea this summer! =)
