Girl, I think it would have been promising if our paths had crossed years ago. From what I have read you truly seem to be a very good person who feels deeply and dreams big (while putting action behind it). Let me just tell you now that I appreciate your posts and the input that you have offered in reponse to issues in my life.

I have been transistioning toward becoming a vegetarian but I doubt my husband will ever make the change with me. I've already cut out beef and am working on pork (if only pan friend pork chops smothered in gravy didn't make my mouth water). For the past few months I have used mostly fish, turkey, and chicken to make our daily means. You should see me scanning the web at allrecipes.com,cooks.com and justvegetablerecipes.com. It definately calls for creativity and patience. Barnes and Noble usually have a good selection of cook books that are always on sale so I've picked up a few here and there. Cooking from scratch is so good for you and whenever I can I choose to use the oven as opposed to frying, although I am glad I fried the catfish (I am in love) SMILE.

I wish there was a guidebook for learning how to smooze with those at work or my husbands work. I wear my feelings clear as day on my shoulder so even my best efforts to pretend are not convincing. This Friday's possible social event is still tentatitve but I have my fingers crossed that the soldiers push to have it canceled. No one really likes these things. Though they are set up to improve morale and the relationship between family memembers of officers who work together that is much more of the goal rather than the end result. Family time is so limited due to our husband's line of work that for many we just want to plan activities independently not have a whole evening planned out for us and made mandatory by another.

I better develop a game face real soon.

Ewww, why did I just seen an old crush from H.S. on Tyra. He wanted to come clean to his lady that "his" house is actually his mama's and that his job as a music promoter is not really well established and he is more or less unemployed and finally the bomb that Tyra later told him to confess in private -"he is currently dating six other women". WTF Well I see I didn't miss out on anything in that man! But brother is still fine!! LOL Obviously though, looks don't = good character.
