I'd Die... Without You...
Dear Diary,
Oh FRIENDS! How I LOVE Friends! Last night the girls (+ Thang) came to One Twenty Six for Jessica's birthday and half priced wine. Oh WINE! I absolutely love WINE! Evolution 9, Covey Run Reisling, Shiraz, Merlot, etc... etc... etc... and don't forget the cheese cake and CHOCOLATE CAKE! It was all so tasty... and SO much fun!
After drinking what was equivalent to about a bottle per person, we were able to talk the cute bartender upstairs (my hero, KEVIN!), to play RENT on the restaurant's stereo system. Soon Seasons of Love was BLARING and I noticed that we were not the only one's singing along! It was SUCH a GREAT time!
In addition to great food, wine and company, many wonderful conversations were had. It's nights like that that help me to realize just how damn lucky I am to be alive and to have found such good people in our lives. I know that regardless of what may come up in my life, I will always have that safety net to catch me... and that feels DAMN good!
I've also been giving my current situation a lot of thought and I think that I have a solution worked out... though it really was in front of me all along, anyway. Like so many things, time will be the key and in the big picture of life, I know that I have a lot of time to deal with. So... I'm not gonna let this little issue take any more of my time right now and move on to less troubled waters.
Thanks everyone for a WONDERFUL night last night! Your toasts, your comments, your conversation and your very presence all helped to put things back into place. CHEERS FOR QUEERS!
