(no subject)
For some reason I enjoy jumping on the bandwagon late, but oh well. My year in review:
January:
- A messed up month for relationships for me, I made several retarded mistakes and hurt a few people, but in the end most things worked out.
- Midterms, a new semester, and Olga's.
February :
- Got back together with Ryan
- Got the Jetta stuck in a snowy ditch
March:
- Got some sickness similar but much worse than strep, and it was untreatable. That knocked me out for several days and I found myself behind in classes.
- All Night Happening was good times with Ryan, Kristen, and Alex.
- Demko made an amazing quote which I just found "Americans could do everything half-assed up until the 70's when other countries started passing them up. Then they realized they desperatly needed their other half an ass."
- I took a tour of MSU and fell in love with it.
- Sadie Hawkins dance
- Phantom of the Opera with Ryan, Brian K., and whoever Brian K.'s gf was
April:
- One year anniversary with Ryan.
- I got into ROIAL.
- I bought my prom dress (which I'm still in love with and wish I had another excuse to wear)
May:
- AP tests and senior practicum.
- Tolias canceled the amazing spring concert line-up for Symphony Orchestra.
- Tyrone's birthday party and Star Wars III.
- Seniors last day which wasn't nearly as emotional for me as I predicted it would be. Manda, Kelli and I spent the day hanging out because we weren't informed of the various parties, but we had fun.
- I turned legal, I mean, 18
- Prom
June:
- Graduation where the lights when out and the arena was completely dark for a few minutes and everyone freaked out.
- Senior All-Night party which was a whole lot of fun.
- Senior Honors Night = long. But I got a History award :)
- Got notification that I'd be living in Abbot in the Fall
- Played a whole lot of Guild Wars
- Orientation
- Built Thor (my awesome computer)
July:
- Vacation with my parents in Manistique, MI (yeah, we go exciting places ...). I got to come home a week early, doing the 7.5 hour drive by myself :) I got a week to myself and enjoyed the freedom of having no parents around. It made me more anxious for school to start.
- Jon Banks going away party at ZZ.
August:
- Started a new LJ
- Dorm shopping
- Bryan Adams / Def Leppard concert with Andy
- Cut a good foot and a half off of my hair
- Said goodbye to the Olga's crew for a while.
- Time for college, I moved into my humble abode in 119 Abbot with Katie, my amazing roomie.
- Got my books and attempted to get used to getting around campus, it was a bit awkward for a while.
September:
- Ren Fest with Kelli and Ryan
- Met Mike H. through ROIAL players and an e-mail misfunction.
- Made new friends :)
- Ryan came to visit and it was mostly good times, but a bit awkward because my life really wasn't that exciting and all of my friends were out of town.
- A few weeks later I broke up with Ryan.
October:
- Began the Star Wars D&D campaign with Mike, Michael, Joel, and Ian. Leslie was added later.
- Small fiasco with Mike Rosen because I decided to be stupid.
- Mike H. and I took a trip to CVS, then hunted for ice cream but nothing was open so we settled for Barnes and Noble with coffee and cheesecake. Later that night he asked me out :)
- Started Ian's Voth campaign (D&D again)
November:
- Came home for Thanksgiving and picked up a few shifts at Olga's.
- Research Paper on Alcatraz that tried to eat me, and spawned the comment "eww ... theses" from Mike.
- Apparently nothing else happened that I can remember just work, classes and friends.
December:
- ROIAL Ball
- Mike bought Settlers of Catan which started an obsession.
- 12 hours of D&D for Ian's birthday. It was amazing.
- Went to Adrian with Mike for a weekend. I can't wait to start going with him regularly, his friends there are awesome, plus it adds two more D&D campaigns to my weekly count.
- Finished the semester with a 3.53 GPA (and passed my math class!!)
- Met Cat (Mike's best friend) and John (her bf) to soak in nerd juices. Now we've gotten together several times and it's been awesome, they're a lot of fun.
- Had an awesome Christmas.
I've started off this year on a good note, and I'm excited for what's coming up. Maybe I'll actually write about it in LJ ... more likely probably not.
