Wow, what a crazy crazy weekend. I'll try and keep it short.
Friday -
- I worked (student cook in my caf) from 10:30-2:30ish. My supervisors are really amazed at how quickly I'm catching on and at one point near the end of the lunch rush they left me by myself in charge of the kitchen and all of the food that needed to get out. Thankfully we have a small kitchen.
- Then I came back to my room, cleaned up, and got myself packed. Dad came around 4 and took me home. I got home, pretty much just dropped my stuff off and made a few phone calls, then headed off to the North game.
- It was a lot of fun to be there, but really weird. I managed to freak Chris out pretty bad. My hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she came up to me and said "Hey twin!" and i responded with "... well .." and pulled my hair down. She screamed. It was pretty funny. I had a good time seeing everybody again, I miss hanging around with Dave, he's fun.
- Straight from the game I headed over to Ben's and we had a good time just hanging out, listening to music, and talking. I came home around midnight, hung out online for a little bit, then off to bed.
Saturday-
- Woke up and did laundry (yay!)
- Ryan came over and we hung out for a bit while I waited for my laundry to finish.
- Headed out shopping for various things that i found i needed during my first week (like water!)
- Went to Kelli's to create an impromptu Ren Fest costume for Ryan and to add to mine. A few hours later we had a passable costume (tunic, pants, and belt) for Ryan and a vest to go over my dress for me. It was pretty impressive and with more time they could have been awesome. Somewhere along the way we picked up Alex and roasted marshmallows in Kelli's back yard.
- Headed back to Ryan's for the last hour or so before I had to be home. We really just sat and did not much of interest.
Sunday -
- Church was fairly uninteresting. Everyone acted like I'd been gone for a year instead of a week, kinda weird.
- Ran home from church (well ... drove ... quickly) to get changed for Ren Fest, stop by the ATM, and pick up the boys (Alex and Ryan).
- Headed to Kelli's to finish dressing and get everyone in the car. Along the way I made Kelli's hair perty =) It was a struggle between all the curves and bumps on the road and the lactic acid build up in my arms, but I got it done.
- Ren Fest was busy and dusty, but fun. I got a sweet ass hat, I need to get someone to take a picture with me and the hat. I think I spent way more money than i meant to. No more spending money for me for a little while. I'm missing this constant paycheck thing, I need to figure out when we get paid.
- We came back around 6, I think, stopped by my house so I could change, then back to Ryan's. We grabbed a pizza and then I passed out (sleeping ... not like Manda). When I woke up Alex and Ryan had decided to attempt leather working, because some of it seems really basic. It'll be really cool if we can get it off the ground, I'm excited. Hung out there for the rest of the night.
Monday -
- Helped my parents set up for family coming over and remembered just how happy I am to be out of the house. Both my parents were in a contrary mood and felt that bickering with each other and me all morning would be fun. (it wasn't) Thankfully they settled down once people started getting there.
- Ryan, Chris and Dee Dee, Jeff and Erin, Aunt Jody and Uncle Doug, the Grandma's, and Aunt Linda came over and we had much food. And the peasants rejoiced (hooray!).
- Ryan and I took off around 5 to go run some errands before everything closed. But, I think I have everything I'll need for a while. hopefully.
- Came home, got the rest of my stuff together, said goodbye to Ryan, Chris, Dee Dee, and my mom and took off. Got lectured about how dad doesn't want to come get me all the time and gas is expensive and lots of other stuff that didn't make me happy. Then he rambled on about church problems and was amazed that I wasn't best friends with someone I really haven't talked to much. Needless to say, I was happy to get back to school.
- I came back with so much more stuff than I left with. 24 bottles of water (which my parents freaked out about. "Can't you just use a water bottle and take water from school? why are you wasting money on bottles??" relax guys, it's not your money and I'd rather spend the $5 to get 24 bottles of good water that I don't have to worry about.), make up mirror so i don't wake Katie up the mornings i get up before her, chinese lanterns (yay decorating the loft), board games and cards, and credit union stuff. I now have two check books, it's pretty ridiculous. Joel, Jenna, and Leslie came to our room and visited. They played cards and we sang loudly to Phantom ... people just walked by and shook their heads. It was entertaining.
Now that I've distracted myself with LJ I have to go finish my homework. Bleh.
