This is the only reason for me and Spotie's hang-ups during our talks. It is the sole strand that binds theists to their beliefs. There is no way to sever such a strand, no matter how thin it is, since theists only have faith in things they already believe. It is faulty, circular logic.
They have faith because they believe it. Why do they believe in it? They believe because they have faith. Why do they have faith in it? They have faith because they believe it. Why do they believe in it? They believe because they have faith. Why do they have faith in it? They have faith because they believe it. Why do they believe in it? They believe because they have faith. Why do they have faith in it? And on and on and on.
