1700 words turned into 3776 words, which is why I haven't gotten as much done as I might have liked, but my NaNo novel is done. If anyone wants to read it - does anyone even look at these to see this message? - let me know and I can email it to you.
Spent most of the afternoon actually being social, which cut into productivity. Package from ThinkGeek arrived, including my new TARDIS bathrobe. Unfortunately, there was some bleach residue or something in the washer, and when I washed it so it didn't dye me blue, it got... well, not ruined, exactly, but there are spots and streaks all over it that are brown, not blue.
Because clearly I'm not allowed to have nice things. It upset me sufficiently that I ordered a new one and gave the ruined one to Riki, because she doesn't care. So that's a $50 gift I didn't expect to be giving. But isn't that what the holidays are about? Never mind the fact that I won't get anything in return, for my birthday or Christmas, and haven't in years. I'm not sure I'm getting anything from anyone this year for either occasion. Which, again, not the point, but eventually it kind of starts to really suck to give and never receive.
Today just keeps getting worse and worse. I'm in pain because I think I pulled a muscle in my butt/lower back, I ruined my brand new robe, and now a package that I accidentally had sent to my old address apparently hasn't been forwarded and is in New Jersey, most likely being returned to sender despite the fact that I have a change of address on file with the post office. And who knows what will happen then... probably I'll never get the package, and that's another $14.00 thrown away for something that, because it's one of those one shirt, one day things, I won't be able to ever actually get the shirt.
So yeah. Awesome. I want a do-over.
Glee didn't record, so I'll have to watch it next week when it's available online. Apparently setting up the DVR from the computer doesn't actually work, so I'll have to set it up on the downstairs DVR box. Although really, I just need to check with Comcast and see if there's any reason I can't just switch the two boxes. (My main concern is that the remote that's programmed to work with my TV won't work with that box. And I don't know how to reprogram it, but if that's going to be an issue, maybe they can tell me how. Better, they could just FIX THE FUCKING ISSUE THAT WE'VE HAD SINCE THEY INSTALLED THEM ALMOST TWO MONTHS AGO... but I suspect that's never going to happen.)
