Vacaaation
Just got back from a week in the mountains. I went whitewater rafting and I definitely was chucked out of the raft twice. I took a mile of class 3 rapids on my back! Let me tell you how fun that was.

Yeahsoanyway my car is dying and we're shopping for a new one. I think I'm going to be a consumer whore and get a Saturn again because I'm a sucker for brand loyalty. I'm kind of in love with the Astra, especially because it's a re-engineered Opel Astra and has tons of luxury features. Squee. Not as peppy as I'd like, but practical, and like my current car, hard to speed in.
Used, of course. But I'm kind of tired of beater cars, so I'm going to buy one with super-low mileage that still has the factory warranty on it. I've had $1500 get eaten by my current car (not counting battery and tires -_-), and while it runs well for as high-mileage and sorry as it is, it's starting to make funny noises and I'm just waiting for it to die. Plus I really don't need to worry about my car dying in the middle of med school.
In other news, they're trying to take Vicodin off the market..and anyone who knows me knows that I need it to live. Wooo stocking up on narcotics!
PS: My mom's having a midlife crisis luau on the 18th and since my birthday is only a few days away from that, you Raleigh people should come. There's going to be a whole roast pig and I'm making cake. Booze too. It's probably going to be ridiculously campy.
PPS: Dinner/teaparty/movies and cookout at my place soon? I need something to do.
