There are lots of things to update on, but i shall focus on this:

I've been trying to get back all those old songs and bands I used to listen to, Sick Shift and the such, bands that are so rare that their music can only be found the in very corners of the internet and the scummiest dustiest parts of listener's hard drives.

So, i was able to get my hand on about 7 of the 14 or so songs that Sick Shift has made, and then found a program that lets me convert internet videos to songs, so i went to youtube to get those songs that I had once listened to long ago..to find that they were deleted. But once they are reuploaded (which they will be) then I shall be back in business

In addition, this song popped into my head. randomly. It's called "Holly," the chorus goes something like this:

tell me, Holly, I don't understand you
I have seen you holding that girl's hands, and
I don't know you like the way I used to
Holly, please be true

Not the most profound lyrics, but I listened to them in early high school and I liked them!! Anyway, when this song popped into my head, I could not for the life of me think of the band's name. I remembered in this time, that i also listened to a lot of fenix tx and plain white t's, but the bands name would not come to me. I searched for hours on google and yahoo, posted my query and two websites and got absolutely nothing. Two days went by and nothing had changed, "Holly" only existed in my memory. And then, I get on my computer tonight. I decide to give it another go. I had messaged my brother a few days ago, who had the song in the first place, and he told me the song didn't ring any bells. I thought and thought. ANd then....EPIPHANY!!! I remembered that during my "Holly" phase, I had done my fair share of livejournaling. I remembered that you could always display what music you were listening to. Could it be? That one time I had posted an entry when I was listening to this godforsaken song? I went for it. I typed in the url of a long-forgotten website, I hit the "previous 25 entries" button several times. I started at the first page, and read every entry, starting my freshmen year of high school. I was hopeful. And there it was, about the 7th entry in. "Tinkers Punishment." It sounded familiar, I had to check. So I quickly googled the name, and found a website where songs could be downloaded for free. I see the song list, there's over 20 songs. I glance. My heart drops. The 8th song down from the list, clearly stated, "Holly" is looking me in the face. I click the link and hold my breath, waiting for that familiar intro melody...i HAD FOUND THE BAND. And now I celebrate, for I accomplished three things: I accomplished a goal, I used my brainstorming skills, and I was reunited with Holly.
