I leave DIA at 12:35pm on Sunday. I'm kind of nervous, but extremely excited! We have plans to eat lunch with a family friend before getting inked. It might be very interesting to see her reaction. Lovely woman and a very conservative Christian. T also wants me to take up her g-ma's offer for a meal on Monday since we're taking her to doctor's appoint. She tells me that her g-ma is pretty nasty. Not sure how to handle it. T says she is going to jump down my throat due to all my piercings and tattoo . . . *sigh*
The house-buying has been put on hold for now. Due to some law changes here, our broker has to get another license. It could take up to a month. We're still looking for places. It is hard, because we found our perfect house. However, I realized that I have to be able to give it up to God. He has all of it worked out, and it does no good to get upset and anxious over this issue.
Thinking that we are going to be here for a year, I'm seriously considering getting a teaching license for secondary ed. I've contacted the department, and they suggested that I set up a meeting with an education advisor. I would enjoy being a high school English teacher. I've toyed with the idea for a long time, and I finally decided to start thinking about it more seriously.
