It is my divine right to know...

Feb 11, 2009 12:39

Name: Jen
Age: Childish in spirit, but a bodily 28. :)
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Birthdate/Astrological Sign (Optional): June 19 (Gemini)

1. What are your four worst qualities? Lazy, daydreamer, sarcastic, detatched from everyone else/the scene.
2. What are your four best qualities? Creative, funny, thoughtful, open-minded.
3. What is your favorite quote? Hmm, I'm not good at quotes, but off the top of my head: "There's a fine line between coincidence and fate." (The Mummy Returns)
4. What is your favorite color? Why? I can't say for certain, but it would either be grey or purple. Purple because it's bold and majestic yet even dreamlike, grey because to me it's something undefinable.
5. What are your hobbies and talents? I love music and writing. I may not have a musical bone in my body (does singing count?), but I love listening to the nuances of the instruments (especially bass) and the lyrics. I've loved writing since I was a little girl, original stories and fanfiction. I also enjoy reading, going on walks, swimming, yoga, doing word jumbles - not word searches, though they can be fun, but the puzzles where you have scrambled letters and you have to form them into words. Incidentally, love Scrabble. Sometimes I can do well at crossword puzzles. Oh yes, and livejournal.
6. What are your favorite song lyrics?
First we'd climb a tree and maybe then we'd talk
Or sit silently and listen to our thoughts
With illusions of someday casting a golden light
No dress rehearsal, this is our life
That's when the hornet stung me and I had a feverish dream
With revenge and doubt tonight we smoke them out

You are ahead by a century

Stare in the morning shroud and then the day began
I tilted your cloud, you tilted my hand
Rain falls in real time and rain fell through the night
No dress rehearsal, this is our life

That's when the hornet stung me and I had a serious dream
With revenge and doubt tonight, we smoked them out

You are ahead by a century
But this is our life and disappointing you getting me down
"Ahead by a Century" The Tragically Hip

7. Choose which one more suits you:
Optimistic or Pessimistic: For the most part, optimistic.
Dreamer or Realist: Dreamer, by a a long-shot, with a sprinkling of realist.
Possessions or Ideals: Possessive with my music collection, but for the most part ideals.
Leader or Follower: Definitely not a leader. I'd like to think of myself more as a participant than a follower.
Light or Dark: Both, but leaning slightly more towards dark.
Intuition or Logic: I'd like to say both, I get lost in my thoughts and feelings often.
Introverted or Extroverted: Introverted.
Calm or Chaos: Calm.
Secretive or Open: Secretive.
Mature or Immature: Hate to admit it, but immature.

8. What is your favorite animal? Why? As much as I love my cats, I would have to say dolphins. They're free to go (mostly) wherever they want to go, they go with the flow, and they are happy with others (schools of dolphins?) or by themselves.
9. What is your ultimate dream to achieve? Just one dream? To write and publish a story, but ultimately, I want to find direction in my life.
10. Water, fire, earth, or air? Which do you believe you are most like, and why? A co-worker once told me I had air-like hands, but I never asked why. I would say either air or water, because they're always moving, finding a path. More so, air because its the life force, water because it nourishes.
11. What is the greatest lesson you have learned? To keep on learning. The world is not shrinking, there's so much out there to see and do.
12. What in life has proved to be the biggest challenge for you? Applying myself and actually going through with the follow-through. Struggling with depression.
13. What one word could describe you best? I've said it before, I'll say it again: daydreamer.
14. What is your favorite season? Why? I love summer because I get to swim outside, but I also love autumn. I love the changing leaves, the colours, the smells, the pumpkin seeds - and I get to wear my nifty jackets and scarves.

Optional

15. What tarot card do you believe you are? Maybe Star? it's been a while since I've read up on the tarot deck.
16. Optional Picture- URL, thumbnail; or description
I think I have something around somewhere....
