The highlight of the last couple of days has been me doing some back-to-school/off-to-college shopping for my brother and me, where I scaled through the racks and shelves of Wal-Mart and Target for exciting items such as highlighters, thumbtacks and hair ties.
I love how all my birthday money is being used for small but necessary items like shampoo and binder paper.
My mom says she's proud of me because I found a pair of bathroom flip-flops for 74 cents.
"Oh, you're really turning into a smart shopper, Preeti! I love how you [fervently] dig through the stores to find good deals!"
...
"Um. Okay."
Yeah, that last statement pretty much sums it all up.
