I'm in bit of a hurry (meaning, I want to go to bed) so I'm going to do that nifty little bullets thing, all right?

- The Princess Bride has got to be one of the most silliest books I've ever read. I don't know why--I just don't like it. I've heard nothing but praise for it and yes, it seems mildly interesting that the author has made some fictitious author (S. Morgenstern) and called it the "abridged version" which, I must add, confused me for a while. Anyway, the main character, Buttercup, is a stupid lady who only gets through life because of her beauty. Granted, I haven't finished the book but I'm at the halfway point so I've read enough to judge a character. Why is it, I think, that beautiful women can coast through life without an ounce of knowledge but the average looking woman must secure a great deal of knowledge as well as do her best to "enhance her features" to go through life the same way? Grrrrrr. Nonetheless, I am determined to finish it. For some odd inexplicable reason. I found the book under my bed the other day and decided to read it because the alternative would have been to paint my toenails (which I did today).

- I finally went shopping. My mother and I went to the Great Mall (the name, let me tell you, is a hyperbole but it isn't all that bad). Our original plan was clothes, clothes and more clothes. But after buying a jacket for $25, I decided to be conservative. However, that was hard to do when I entered 5-7-9, a juniors store that actually carries my pant size. There was a rack of jeans, all for $10. My mom held me back though ('Just one!'). And I got new sneakers. Or, athletic shoes. Or whatever you call them. I've never been shoe shopping without my dad and it was weird. My dad usually spends 4 hours observing every shoe in the women's department for flexibility, weight, size, aerodynamics, you name it. However, I just saw a pair I liked, as the saleslady for a size 7 and that's it. Maybe it's because neither I, nor my mom, know anything about shoes. And then, there was a bunch of random stuff I'd need for my dorm--coat hangers, a bathrobe, body wash, shampoo, etc.

- I keep thinking about that book I saw at Waldenbooks in Illinois: The Grimm Fairy Tales. Oh, I want it so bad! And there's that other book I keep thinking about: Poe: Major Stories and Poems. Everytime I pick up The Princess Bride, I get reminded of how I could be reading about something more exciting and intriguing than the "most beautiful and perfect woman" in the world.

- Earthstorm has got to be one of the worst science-fiction movies ever. I can't believe the producers forgot that there's no gravity in space. The astronauts were walking around the shuttle (which was unnaturally big) as they would on Earth! Arrghhh...that bothers me, too.

Have you noticed? Stupidity bothers me.
