You know what word I always spell wrong? "Eleven".

That is one word where I just can't get the hang of the American version of spelling.

I always misspell it "elevyn"

Isn't that how they spell it in the rest of the world? Yeah, I don't know. I remember I had such a hard time adjusting to American life when I first moved here.

Can you believe that I didn't take my first shower until I was nine years old? Yep. I'd always been afraid of the shower because it was so high. I'd always taken baths.
Oh, and I remember, the day after our plane landed, I had to take a bath, right?
Well, the thing was, I'd never seen a bathtub before.

It took my dad fifteen minutes to convince me to get in. And I remember enjoying it like heck. It was awesome. It was like my own little pool! I remember singing some song I made up really loudly in the bathroom.

OH, and then, there's Barney. At first, I was like "WTF...I don't understand all this English". All I got was that "I love you" song. I used to sing it all the time.

Haha. And my mom didn't know how to dress me for the first day of kindergarten. In India, I'd just wear a uniform. And in other places, I'd just wear a Indian clothes.
Well, here I am, first day of school, and I come all dressed up in this little fancy dress, buckle shoes and pigtails.
The teachers had to call my mom up and tell her that I was supposed to wear shorts beneath the dress.

Ahhh.

That was so random. I guess I had a spontaneous burst of thought down memory lane.

Anyway, I got an email from the Save Darfur Coalition. It asked me to talk to my family and friends on Thanksgiving about signing a petition for Darfur.
I highly encourage you all out there to do the same.

That's it. Damn, I need to finish my college essays before my mom comes home.

Later!
