I had an amazing time in Duluth. I went up there on friday after work, wasn't tired at all because I had alot on my mind, because it was the weekend I was going to propose to Kristen. I had managed to keep her in the dark about it (this is hard to do, trust me). I decided that friday wasn't a good day to do it, it was kind of dreary outside, and I was pretty tired. I had a great day though either way. We went to Target, and I bought some new clothes, and a couple other things I wanted. The next morning I decided it was a good day, I poked Kristen at 8:30 and said "Lets go to the park so I can take some pictures." If you know my personality this is one of the last things you'd expect to hear out of me, but it was the only way I could think of. She looked at me kind of funny...then went back to sleep for a couple hours. When we got up and were ready to go her roommate Monica came and told us that she had lost her boyfriends ring that he had made her at the school. So I told her it wasn't a problem and we went to the school to look for it, fortunatly she found it. We drove her back home and then headed to Chester Park, as we got close I noticed there were tons of people, so I told Kristen that I really didnt want to take pictures with all these people around. I then remembered this place my mom took me too when I was a kid, a big rose garden in the downtown area, absolutely beautiful, so I decided to give that a shot. I got there half expecting the flowers to be dead, but they were all fully bloomed and looked amazing, the sky that was grey and kind of ruining it for me went away a few minutes after I got there, so I figured, "Yeah, this is time." Too give the illusion that nothing was up I went around and took pictures of all the flowers, unfortunatly my camera has a tiny internal memory so after 8 pictures I was out. So I took her hand, and went in the middle of all these beautiful pink flowers, and proposed. The things I said and such are none of your business :) She said yes, and spent the rest of the day gushing to family members hehe. I thought it was cute, and she tried hard not to brag much about it. That night her friends took us all out to celebrate at Applebees, and we got a free smores like dessert which was awesome. Then we went back home and they had bought us a bottle of great champagne...so it was really a great day. Yesterday we went to Gooseberry falls with Cortney, and it was awesome. I took along my digital camera with my new memory card so I could hold 70 pictures, I used them all up. It was an amazing place, and I'll post a couple of the pictures once I get them moved to my computer and such. We had tons of fun there, and I skipped a day of work because I didn't want to miss out on it :) Speaking of those pictures though, I'm gonna get on that.
