R.I.P. Old friend.
Well, all good things must come to an end I suppose. Yesterday I woke up and went to do something on my computer, but when I clicked on what I wanted to do the harddrive just made an abnormally loud reading noise. The noise happened at about 1 second intervals until finally I got my first blue screen on windows 2k, and before I could even read what it said my computer restarted. It would then get to the loading windows screen and stop, making the same noise again, and then it gave me an I/O error. I decided to format it, figuring I'd just gotten a virus. I put in my disk to format and went to have breakfast with krissy. A little while later she noticed I had another blue screen...I went back in...and then started to format it again. This time it worked, I got it formatted, win2k installed, all my old software, all the service packs from windows, and in this process I restarted about a dozen times probably with no problems. Then I ran my disk defragmenter and went over to kristen's to watch a movie. I came back home and I had another error. And it wouldnt read, again. I had scanned my harddrive several times with norton antivirus previous to this moment and was positive there were no virus's on my computer. So I decided to format it, AGAIN...and to back up everything I had onto a CD, like all my text documents, setups for programs, and my folder that had all of my pictures, conversations, and things dealing with Kristen onto a disk. But now, every time, for the last dozen or so time's I've tried to format, it stops at 10%. So, basically...my computer is ruined. I have had alot of memories with it...Quake 3 tournaments with my friends, having a great time. Watching DVD's on it...burning some of my favorite music, and probably the best memory, I met Kristen on it. It was a graduation gift from my mom and my grandpa as well who has passed away. Needless to say...I'm not very good right now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I don't have much money right now. I need to go though...I'm starving and my food is a 15 minute drive away.
