I’ve been encouraged to know that God is so good in helping us see exactly who were are and if we are persistent, God will clearly show us what we are supposed to do. This past week at camp, the revelation of God in my life was that I am called to you, my generation and it is the what for my life. It is interesting to know that once you can see who you are and what you are to do, then it is to walk in that direction and not let anything turn you from that position. I think in the valley of decision, the grave clothes of disappointment, it’s easy to lose the DNA of who you are and what you’re supposed to do. But over the last while, what I’ve been noticing is that God has been showing me exactly that who I was becoming and what I believed God to be leading me to do and become in the fall of 2005, is exactly what I’m supposed to do now. The pain and frustrations of the winter and spring were things that happened to me but they were not to define me. I’ve been thinking about the fact that I’m a masterpiece of God’s and if that is so, I was created to do unbelievable things for Him and our generation and the youth generation behind is where I’m to devote my time and energies.
I say this to you to encourage you that no matter what has happened in our lives, even what we have experienced over the past 9 months, don’t allow people, places or things to dictate who you are and what you are to do and become. My prayer for us all is that in this time of fluctuation and change, we don’t lose sight of our spiritual DNA and destiny. Frustration is always an issue we must deal with but don’t allow it to run you over. I’ve had to adjust my thinking and God is helping and I am encouraged. Don’t know all that is to happen but it will come and we will see the glory of God displayed in our lives!!!!!
VERSE:
We are God's workmanship-masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
THOUGHT:
David reminded us when he wrote that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and God has something definite planned for us to do while we are here. We display his craftsmanship and skill when we intentionally live for him and not like the rest of those who have not fund the living truth and hope that Jesus brings.
PRAYER:
Father, teach me to recognize your opportunities and your will when they come into my life. I want to live for you without reservation. I pray for boldness to not be shy in sharing my faith. I pray for patience as I wait for folks to respond. I pray for protection on those close to coming to Christ. I pray not for me but for your Kingdom to be displayed in my life. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
