...service number, and date of birth. I will give no information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and back them up in every way."
Well then, that was my military knowledge for the day...
I am only on here because I am totally procrastinating doing my engineering homework....which I still don't know how to do...
I ordered some clothes online yesterday to wear over the holidays. I'm kinda excited about that.
This week Air Force football is against Notre Dame. Ha. I wonder who's gonna win that one. Maybe I should have a little more faith...or maybe not.
I actually won't even be at the football game because choir has a performance in Denver this Saturday. It's going to be a big one, for a Museum Gala, 900 people in attendance, including the great General Chuck Yeager (if you don't know who that is, stop reading my entries now)... we're going to do our usual mingling with the guests, being good little Academy diplomats, of course there's me---taking it to the next level and hamming it up like no other...hey, it's what I do best...and of course a free meal. I really think the only reason I joined the choir was to catch a free meal now and then.
I'm so ready to go home for Thanksgiving--even though its less than two weeks away it seems like forever because of all the crap I have to do until then-- History research paper, Math group project, and then there's two days of "Commandant's Challenge" right before we leave---the best way I can describe it is two days of physical torture, boring briefings, pointless field training exercises... wish me luck!
On Sunday I'm supposed to go bowling with my "little sister", and you all know how great I am at bowling. Just kidding. I suck at bowling.
Yours Truly,
Ruby
P.S. I borrowed a book from the library-- a collection of odes by Pablo Neruda--I think the same one Mr. Spencer had--my fav so far has been "Ode to a Chestnut on the Ground."
