Subject: RE: USAFA JAZZ BAND AUDITIONS

Cadet Zieja,

I’m a saxophone player and I know you only need a trumpet and trombone player but if there’s any room for sax players can I please audition??? I have my alto here with me so I could play with the orchestra but I lost interest in it really quickly because what I really wanted to play was jazz pieces, not classical. Thank you for your consideration.

Hey,

I dig what you’re saying, but unless you can convince any of the sax players in my band to leave, I don’t have any open slots. An alto slot will open next year, and a bari slot and tenor will open the following year (membership is all four years). Thanks for the interest - keep playing.

Very Respectfully,

C/Maj Joe Zieja
