Yuugiou | Anzu/Yuugi, Anzu/Atemu | Ballet
Before, dancing had been able to clear her head. It had been useful during those times she was worried about Yuugi but was helpless to do anything. Or when she was worried about The Other Yuugi leaving and was tired of trying not to cry.

Now, it didn't.

Instead, she was bogged down, thinking about the fact that one of her best friends was dead. It didn't matter that he always technically was, because he'd been alive in every way that counted. Beyond even that, were her feelings.

Jounouchi kept nudging her, telling her that Yuugi would never ask her out on his own. Mai gave her tips on how to improve her wardrobe. Bakura would attempt to say all the right things about The Other Yuugi. Oddly, it was only Honda who sensed that she needed breathing space to figure out what she wanted.

Honda and Yuugi, that is.

Dancing used to clear her mind, now it seemed to be the place where everything in her head and heart became muddled.

Yuugiou | Yami no Yuugi, Yuugi/Anzu | Matchmaker
His Other Self teasingly saying revenge was the only warning Yuugi got before said Other Self retreated back into the puzzle on the middle of another 'date' he'd been on with Anzu.

"Yuugi?" Anzu said. Her eyes narrowed and Yuugi silently vowed to get some revenge himself. "What happened?"

"Um," Yuugi said and stared down at the cup of soda his Other Self had been drinking. "I think The Other Me is teasing me."

"You know," Anzu said, "you two redefine giving a girl mixed signals." Yuugi jerked his head up, intended to apologize, but Anzu was smiling at him. "You guys probably can't help it, sharing a body and all." She shrugged. "Oh well. We were just heading out for a movie, is that okay with you?"

"Sure!" Yuugi said and when they walked out of the cafe together, they were holding hands.

Hetalia | Japan/Greece | Ties
Greece watched, head tilted to the side, as Japan fumbled to take off his tie. He was flushing slightly and with the way he moved toward Greece, it was as if this was his first time.

And they'd been doing this for years.

Greece didn't mind, though. He found it kind of hot. He was just about to ponder if Japan knew that Greece thought his shy act was hot, but became distracted when Japan sat down next to him and pressed an awkward kiss on the side of Greece's lips.

Hetalia | America/England | Rules
England had just shoved America against the wall and was doing things with his lips that America very much approved of, when, suddenly, he pushed away, panic in his eyes.

Which he failed to keep out of his voice as he smoothed down his suit. "We shouldn't be doing this."

Not even in the mood to tease him, America asked curtly, "Why the hell not?"

"Because," England said, as if he were talking to a small and stupid child, "I taught you how to wash your hair. And cleaned your scrapped knees. And comforted you when you had nightmares. And read bedtime stories to you - "

America couldn't even get a word in edgewise.

"And taught you how to read. And kept you away from France in no small part because he would have molested you." America wondered how Canada fit in that logic. "Not to mention all the times I've scolded and disciplined you!"

As he panted, the result of not pausing to breathe at all during his rant, America grabbed his tie, pulled him forward, and said, "You can develop a conscience on your own time."

-
Hetalia | America/England | Football
"This," England declared, wringing his hands, "is not football."

"Of course it is!" America scrunched his face up, confused. "Oh wait, you're thinking soccer? Mine is so much better, isn't it?"

England looked like he was contemplating choking America. Well, contemplating more than normal. "Yours is ridiculous, over the top, and violent." He paused. "I can see why you like it so much."

America set his hands on his hips and laughed loudly. "I'm going to take that as a complement!"

-
Hetalia | America/England | Cuddling
"I'm telling you," America said as he leaned over to grab the remote from the the end table and then set his feet on it, "it's the best show Canada has come out with in..." he paused in order to think of the shows his brother had actually come out with that he could recall and when he realized he couldn't think of any said, "ever!"

England was staring at America legs like he wanted to smack them away from the end table much to America's delight - it was always easy and fun to annoy England. He said dryly, "I'm sure the ratings reflect it."

"Never trust wikipedia," America said automatically.

England was about to say something, but America turned to him and shushed him sharply. Gritting his teeth, England turned to the TV and winced slightly at the corny theme song. "Why must you always like reboots of things?"

America glared at him and then turned back to the TV when someone called 'Paige' appeared on the screen.

Sighing, England forced himself to try and pay attention to the show and maybe even enjoy it. And when that failed, used the opportunity of America being distracted to lean against him without either of them making a fuss about it.

Buffy: the Vampire Slayer | Buffy/Angel | Molest
"I take it you had a rough day at school?" Angel asked after Buffy tackled him to the ground and straddled him.

"You would be right," Buffy said and leaned over to kiss the side of his throat.

"Do you - " He was distracted, for a moment, with the way Buffy swirled her tongue, " - want to talk about it?"

"I'd rather kiss about it," Buffy said.

It made no sense, but Angel found he didn't much care now that she was nibbling on his earlobe.

Dragonball Z | Gohan, Piccolo | Magazines
Piccolo dropped a dozen or so magazines in front of Gohan, to which Gohan's intelligent reply was, "Piccolo-san?"

Piccolo folded his arms. "I'm going to teach you how to get a date without being blackmailed - "

Gohan groaned and considered the merits of honorable suicide.

"But it's not going to be free."

"Are you asking me to pay you to embarrass me?" Gohan asked.

Piccolo snorted. "You do that well enough on your own. Which will be our first lesson." He held out his left hand and energy began to glow around it. Soon, Gohan was swept over with the familiar feeling of Piccolo changing his clothing.

"I haven't even said yes," Gohan said weakly but Piccolo just motioned him to follow after picking up the magazines, and he did, dutifully. It occurred to him that this was probably why he was blackmailed into doing things more than anything else. Another thought occurred to him, "What do you know about courtship?"

"Dating," Piccolo corrected. He turned around, with one brow risen. "And it's hardly difficult to pick up on, it's all humans write about in their magazines."

Gohan looked down at the handful of magazines he was holding. Most of them were targeted to women and teenage girls. A horrified thought occurred to him. "Did my mom put you up to this?"

"She told me not to tell you," Piccolo said and grinned in a very unkind manner when Gohan flailed, slipped to the ground, and dropped the magazines, causing them to spread around all over the ground. "Before we begin, we need to work out your payments. Which will involve traini -"

"Vegeta also put you up to this!" Gohan accused.

"I sympathized with his desire to for a suitable sparring partner," Piccolo said and Gohan buried his face in his hands.

Degrassi TNG | Paige/Alex | Cookie Dough
Paige slapped Alex's hand away from the cookie dough she was preparing and turned around, intending to tell her in no uncertain terms that no one was going to taste anything until she was finished, but Alex set her hands on Paige's face and kissed her firmly on the mouth.

Paige wrapped a hand around her hair and pulled her forward to deepen the kiss before she got the chance to move away.

Gundam Wing | Quatre, Heero | Code
"You should get some rest."

Quatre glanced up from the papers he was looking over to give Heero, who had just walked into his office, a small smile. "I can't yet."

Heero leaned against the door frame. "The assignment isn't that urgent."

"Maybe not yet," Quatre acknowledged as he reached over and grabbed a paper on the top left-handed part of the desk and glanced over it, "but you never know."

"You're right about that," Heero said, watching Quatre jot something down on a piece of paper.

"Don't worry about me," Quatre said. "I'll be all right. Decoding this isn't exactly what I'd call strenuous work."

Heero waited until Quatre glanced up at him, clearly with the intent to try and persuade Heero some more, before giving him a curt nod and walking out of the room.

Tokyo Babylon/X | Hokuto/Karen | Red
It was the flash of red that caught Hokuto's eyes. She wasn't sure if it was her dress, hair, or what she was drinking. Maybe it was all three. At any rate, Hokuto wasn't the only one looking, because when Hokuto walked over to her, smiling, the expression on her face appeared pleased.

It was the way that the woman looked at her that made Hokuto want to talk. It reminded her of the air around Subaru when he was trying to comfort someone. "I'm not going to live much longer."

The woman studied her for awhile before saying, "I'm sorry to hear that."

Hokuto shrugged her shoulders. "I've had a good run," Kakyou's face flashed through her mind, but she continued honestly, "I'm not going to regret anything."

The woman's lips twitched into something that would have been a smile if her eyes didn't look so sad. "It's still a shame."

Hokuto thought about the last time she saw her brother, lying perfectly still on a hospital bed. "You don't know the half of it."

The woman set her hand on the chair next to her. "I've got time to listen."

Hokuto only hesitated for a moment.

Tokyo Babylon/X | Seishirou/Subaru | Crazy AU thing | Spanking
"You're soaked," Seishirou said without glancing up when Subaru walked into the building.

"It's raining," Subaru said quietly with lowered eyes.

Seishirou set the file he'd been holding down on Subaru's desk and began to walk over to him like a cat pondering a kill.

The small building that was Seishirou's veterinarians' office was empty besides the two of them. Subaru figured it was because of the thunderstorm raging outside. He absently fiddled with a lose string on the sleeve of his shirt as he forced himself to look up at and to keep looking at Seishirou, who was giving Subaru a look that made him feel like a rat he was about to dissect.

"You're not wearing a rain coat nor do you have an umbrella," Seishirou said after was standing just a few inches away from Subaru.

"I don't have anything like that," Subaru said as his chin was grabbed and tilted up.

"You really do take poor care of yourself, don't you?" Seishirou said, sounding thoughtful.

Subaru had no response to that.

Seishirou let go of Subaru's chin, but kept his gaze on Subaru. It made him feel uneasy, as if he was being tested. Which, Subaru had to admit was fair - he worked for Seishirou, and Seishirou only hired him out of pity.

"Follow me," Seishirou said.

Subaru did so and was lead to his personal office. He hadn't been in there since he'd been interviewed over a month ago.

"Close the door behind you and lock it," Seishirou said.

Subaru dug his fingers tightly into the doorknob as he locked the door. The click didn't echo through the room, but it felt like it was ringing though Subaru's ears loudly. He turned around and pressed his back tightly against the door.

Seishirou was smiling and Subaru felt as if the safest thing to do was to get out and run as fast as he could as far away as possible.

"I don't have any use for ill employees," Seishirou said, "much less ones who do it because of carelessness." Subaru flushed and tried to speak, but found he couldn't seem to summon his voice to apologize. "In this case, I'm in luck." He watched as Seishirou took out a wooden ruler from one of the top drawers on his desk. "This should be easily taken care of."

Subaru twisted the doorknob behind him, eyes glued to Seishirou as he cleared off his desk.

"Bend over the desk," Seishirou told him after he filed away the last of the papers that had been resting on his desk.

Subaru was pretty sure this wasn't proper, but he had no idea if it was illegal. He wondered dully if it would even matter if he knew these answers for sure as he slowly crossed the room to obey. For the first time since early that morning when he began the long walk from his apartment to Seishirou's office, he felt his skin begin to heat up.

"Too bad this isn't for fun," Seishirou said sadly, but before Subaru could even begin to process what Seishirou meant by that, he was struck.

It was more painful than Subaru expected. He bit his bottom lip and clenched the edge of desk. The next several hurt even more, causing Subaru to curl his toes and dig his nails into the wood of the desk, in spite of the fact the action could damage Seishirou's property. Proper manners, however, weren't in the front of his mind.

That was even more true when Seishirou seemed to get something of a rhythm and hit harder on top of Subaru's sore backside. Subaru supposed the only reason he was able to stay silent was because all of his energy was focused on the steady, sharp blows punishing him.

Then, without any warning, Seishirou stopped. Subaru didn't dare move, afraid of being even more of a disapointment and finding that he trusted Seishirou to tell him what to do.

"Subaru-kun," his voice sounded gentler than Subaru had ever heard, "why are you letting me do this?"

Subaru wanted to turn around and look at Seishirou. "You told me to."

Seishirou set the ruler down beside Subaru's head. He leaned over so that he chest was pressed lightly against Subaru's back. He moved his hands so that they were positioned at the sides of Subaru's hips.

Subaru licked his lips and tried to stay still.

"Do you think this will help you learn to take care of yourself, Subaru-kun?" Seishirou asked. He pressed one leg between Subaru's.

"I'll try," Subaru said, honest, and knowing it wasn't good enough.

Seishirou's laughter tickled Subaru's skin. "I have a feeling that won't be enough."

Somehow those words hurt much more than the spanking he's just received. And reminded of because Seishirou was pressing against him firmly. Subaru gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut. He curled his hands into fists as he suddenly remembered scratching Seishirou's desk. He wanted to apologize, but he had a feeling this wasn't the right time to do so.

"I suppose I'll just have to take care of you," Seishirou said.

Subaru's mouth went dry and Seishirou slid off of him.

"I've left some paperwork on your desk I want you to complete," Seishirou said briskly, and more professionally than he'd ever addressed Subaru before.

Subaru got off the desk as quickly as he could, turned around swiftly, and bowed deeply. "I'll get right on that, Seishirou-sensei!"

"Good."

Seishirou closed the distance between them so that there were only a few inches between them. Subaru heart began to race for the first time that morning, which was odd, all things considering, as Seishirou reached behind him. A moment later, Subaru felt the ruler being pressed into his hand.

Seishirou leaned over and said quietly, lips nearly brushing against Subaru's earlobe causing his heart to skip a beat, "put that in the top left hand drawer."

Subaru wasn't sure if his entire body actually flushed, but it sure felt like it. "Yes, Seishirou-sensei."

Seishirou took a step back. His eyes were glittering with something Subaru didn't know how to name, but still stirred something in the pit of his stomach.

With both hands curled around the ruler tightly, Subaru slowly walked out of the room.

Star Trek 2009 | Kirk/McCoy | Old For This
"I am too old for this."

"You're never to old for this."

"Say that in twenty years."

"You know, for all that you complain, you sure take off my pants pretty well."

Naruto | Lee/Tenten | Hair
Tenten didn't look up from the book she was looking over when she saw Lee walk over to her from the corner of her eyes. "No."

"You don't even know what I was going to ask!"

Tenten sighed and closed her book firmly. "Lee, you've been trying to get me to cut my hair like Gai-sensei's for a month now." She tapped her index finger on her chin. "To be honest, it's starting to creep me out a little."

Lee looked completely innocent. "Why?"

"Because you want me to look like our teacher," Tenten said. Lee blinked at her. Tenten tried to fight down a blush as she said, "And I already wore his spandex for you while we train. Isn't that enough?"

Lee grabbed both of her wrists in his hands. "I just want you to look your best! And act your best! Looking like Gai-sensei is inspiring like nothing else in the entire world."

Tenten still found it creepy, but he looked so eager that she to keep that bit to herself. "Okay, how about this. If you can get Neji to cut his hair, I'll cut mine too. But only if you leave me alone until then."

Lee held his thumb up and grinned. "I'll accept that challenge. Give me a week and I'll have our whole team looking as great as Gai-sensei."

As Tenten watched Lee run off to where Neji was stretching, she felt her stomach drop and she grabbed a handful of her hair, horrified with the sheer certainty that Lee would succeed.
