Her death will be different.
It had come as a total shock to Yue when Clow told them that he was going to die. Yue didn't ever think he could die. With Sakura, he had it happening for months, perhaps years.
Yue was always more aware of Sakura's mortality. She may have been stronger than Clow, had a will that Clow didn't possess, and kinder than most people he'd ever seen, but there was always a certain air of humanity about her that Clow lacked.
"How much longer do you think it will be?" Keroberos asked. His voice was soft, his eyes sad.
Seeing his fellow guardian like this was like a kick to the gut. Keroberos was generally happy and dealt with pain by seeing the good in things; that he couldn't see good in Sakura's death spoke of the depths of his love for her.
"It will be easier than before," Yue said, because he was always cruel when he was suffering.
"If you mean that," Keroberos said, his voice like steel.
"Nothing is ever easy when it's love," Yue said. It was a close to an apology as he would get.
"She knows," Keroberos said abruptly. "She won't tell us, she doesn't want to hurt us. She's going to try and do something reckless."
"We should stop her," Yue said.
"She won't regret it," Keroberos said, turning away from Yue. "It's Sakura. Even if it's the right thing to die."
Yue knew what that meant, it was up to him. He nodded sharply.
Before Keroberos could say anything more, Sakura walked in the living room. She was smiling cheerfully, because she was Sakura. Although, there was something missing in the back of her eyes, as there had been for the past couple of months.
"I'll go make us some cake!" Keroberos said cheerfully, his voice not quite breaking, and few into the kitchen.
Sakura watched him go, tears building behind her eyes. "Kero-chan..."
Yue knelt down beside her and gently moved to grab her chin and move it slowly to face him. "Sakura, we know."
Sakura closed her eyes, in order to hide how much she was breaking. Syaoran was no longer alive, so she couldn't pretend and wait to open up to him. "I'm sorry."
Yue smiled at her gently, even though she couldn't see it, "Everyone has to die."
"You don't get to," Sakura said. "You have to be alone. And I never trained myself too look far enough ahead to see what would happen and to make sure you all would be okay. It's too late now..."
"Remember?" Yue whispered, "Everything will surely be alright."
Sakura wrapped her arms around him tightly. "Thank you."
