Awwweessome...
So yesturday, after years of wishing and months of anticipation, I went to Anime North! I was so syched i didnt sleep for two nights in a row prior to the occasion. It wasn't like I didnt have fun, I was a blaaasssstt.
I just wish it was in a better location. If we weren't right next to the airport and amist several hotel giants, I think the amount of abuse agaist the attendees would have been tremendously different.
It wasn't even 11:30 on the Saturday night as car after car, after car came passing along Dixon road shouted profanities at people. I guess they got a kick at calling us freaks and then zooming off..
oh..
But wait.. that happened at 4 in the afternoon too.
Well anyhow, the delinquents that were so embarassing (to themselves) of the night variety were obviously filled to the brim in their inscecurites to try to pick up some of these Otaku girls, and then have a hissy fit after they've been rejected.
And so I was really tired and for some reason it really shocked me that I would ever witness such foolishness. Okay, so instead of loving Athletes that do drugs and cheat, we spend our money on DVDs of Anime and Drama, all the while learning about Japanese culture instead of learning to be more American. Instead of watching you XXX-hardcore-Het porn, we read manga about interesting people, that are better-looking, and have plot (most of the time).
So just because we'd rather play video games and play dressup rather than getting loaded on God knows what and catching some unknown STI, doesnt mean we don't now how to have fun.
It just means we dont need to change ourselves in order to do it
