-You have seven sins in this world, God says, I can absolve you of one.-
superbia
By the time he is six, St. John Allerdyce learns the importance of one's reputation. No crying or whining or whimping out or running away, because that makes you weak, makes you soft and the weak perish and the soft disappear. So you don't turn your back around and you bluff like there's no tomorrow.
It's survival of the strongest.
ira
His powers manifest when he's thirteen. He's on the run from yet another group of street thugs out to get him, only this time they have guns. There's a hail of bullets streaking after him and he can feel each one being released: click-spark-bang!
The guns are old, the triggers spark, and the world goes up in flames.
luxuria
When he first steps foot into Xavier's Mansion, he's overwhelmed. He sleeps in a bed for the first time, eats food that's fresh, and can actually waste his time doing nothing. For once every day isn't a fight for survival and he thinks he's died and gone to heaven.
And then he met Bobby.
gula
Bobby is everything he isn't, Bobby is pure. He can't help but want to dirty Bobby a little, maybe a lot. But suddenly it's not a game at how to get Bobby to laugh, to break the rules, to just pay attention to him.
Because Bobby's the first to truly care.
avaritia
At first it's enough for Bobby to look at him. Then he wants Bobby to only look at him. Then he wants something more.
It's not that he can't figure out what, it's that he can't figure out why.
invidia
Everything was fine until she came. Suddenly Bobby was all about her and not nearly enough about him. He watches from the sidelines as his carefully constructed world is once again thrown into chaos.
The fire consumes the new fuel greedily.
acedia
He leaves with the assumption that Bobby will stop him. He waits with the assumption that Bobby will find him. His life is at a standstill, has been at a standstill, and Bobby still doesn't know.
St. John Allerdyce never did tell.

[Which one will you choose?]
AN: Hmmm, not too happy with this one. I liked the beginning and the end italics parts, that's what inspired this. But the whole thing kinda ran outta steam and I forced myself to finish it. Maybe one day I'll come back and fix it. >.
