"You brought me a fucking corpse!?!" Reno stared at the open box, which seemed more like a coffin now. Inside, a man in his late twenties lay, naked as the day he was born with long, silver hair spilling far past his shoulders to cover up his essential parts. "Cloud yo, I find buyers for old things, unique things, mostly illegal non-sentient things. I ain't in the organ market. Granted, there are some out there that would rather have a real, live organ than synthetic or even enhanced one and would pay a hefty sum for one, but still!" He rounded on Cloud and pinned him with a green eyed stare, stating sarcastically, "You don't find corpses; you either make them or knew them."

Cloud shrugged his shoulders. "Guess it's a good thing this isn't a corpse then."

Reno raised an eyebrow. "It isn't?" Glancing at the figure in the box again, he rubbed his chin. "Well, I guess silver hair is a bit odd, don't think I've ever seen anyone dye their hair this color, not even the crazies from WEAPON." He looked at Cloud meaningfully but didn't push when Cloud's face tightened.

"Yeah, it's isn't!" Yuffie said hurriedly, glancing at Cloud worriedly. Barreling on, she continued, "Cid says it's a robot! We ran a scan and it wasn't like anything I've ever seen before. The inside's all wires and stuff!"

Reno sucked in his breath sharply. "You're shitting me," he deadpanned.

"Nope!" Yuffie grinned, clasping her hands behind her back.

"Hell," Reno muttered, "I think I'd almost rather have a dead body. This is beyond illegal. I never had any schooling but even I know the First Law by heart: If any surviving robots are found they are to be turned over to the government immediately. Failure to comply will result in immediate execution. Subsequently, anyone found building or in possession of anything even remotely resembling a robot will be executed."

Cloud rolled his eyes, not impressed by Reno's recitation. Everyone new the First Law. "So are you going to sell this or what?"

"Hell yeah!" Reno grinned. "I never was on the right side of the law anyhow. So let's talk business. 40% transaction fee."

Cloud narrowed his eyes. "20."

"30," Reno bartered.

Cloud agreed. "Fine, 30%. Now are you going to start-"

He was interrupted by Yuffie's shriek of surprise. "It moved!"

"What!?!" Both men cried out, rushing over to the girl's side.

"You have to stop it!" Cloud said to Reno anxiously.

"How!?! I've never even seen one of these fucking things till today!"

"Uh, guys?" Yuffie cut in nervously, "I think it's a bit too late for that..."

The eyes of the man in the box had snapped open, revealing wide pupils of the palest green. After a second, the pupils shrunk, focusing more and the figure sat up. "Greetings," it spoke in a monotone voice, "thank you for purchasing from the Hojo DR Company. This is our AI M issue 0013 module, equipped with an upgraded fail-safe should it malfunction. The Override program, as well as instructions on how to implement it, can be found in your manual. Please state the desired name for this unit."

"Holy shit, it's a fucking AI!" Reno exclaimed in shock.

The man sat up, eyes unfocusing again. "Registering name: Holy s-"

"WaitwaitwaitwaitWAIT!" Yuffie waved her hands wildly. "That's not a name; you don't want that name! Hold on!" Rounding on Reno, Yuffie placed both hands on her hips. "Reno! You could have said something else!"

Reno shrugged unapologetically. Cloud sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in an effort to stave off the oncoming headache. "All right, why don't we just use the Holy part?"

Yuffie scrunched up her nose and stuck out her tongue. "No way, that's so...corny. I know! Why don't we use something from that ancient religion, Christianity or Catholicism or something? Something like Satan! Now there's a cool name, the ultimate bad guy!"

Cloud rolled his eyes. "How about not? If you want to stick with that train of thought you might as well use something less common like Seraph."

Reno snorted, folding his arms over his chest he said derisively, "Like that's any better. It's all just a bunch of rip off terms, no originality. I happen to think Holy Shit is rather inspired myself."

Yuffie tilted her head thoughtfully. "Hmmm, I guess having a rip off name would suck. Rip off...rioth, iroth...Seraph...Seph? Heeeeeeeey," her eyes lit up, "how about Sephiroth? That sounds cool!"

Cloud shrugged his shoulders and turned to the AI, which had been staring at the three curiously throughout the entire progression. "Is that acceptable?"

The AI blinked. "You are my master, thus it is your privilege to name me. If you find that name acceptable my duty is to answer to it."

"Eh?" Cloud sputtered, surprised. "Since when did I become your master!?!"

"You activated my program and became my master by default," the AI explained.

"Hold on, yo!" Reno cut in, "First off, how the hell did Cloud activate you program? And more importantly, can your master be switched?" He turned to Cloud and tapped the nightstick on his side, "I ain't taking it if this whole master thing can't be transferred, no point in selling it then."

The AI stepped out of the box. "Master Cloud activated my program when he spoke the activation code: 'Start.' Any changes that need to be made to my basic formatting can be done so via the Override Control, activated by the Override Program found in the manual." Looking over at Cloud the AI asked, "Shall I register Sephiroth as my name?"

Cloud nodded distractedly, "Sure, just stop with the whole 'Master' thing; I am nobody's master. Reno, do you have some spare clothes? Yuffie looks like she going to explode over there."

Yuffie squeaked, her face turning an impressive shade of red. Still, she couldn't seem to avert her eyes from the AI-Sephiroth, slowly letting them trail downwards before she eeped again. "No," she said faintly, fighting the urge to fan herself, "it's all right, really!"

Reno snickered. "You're all talk, eh?" He walked over to the metal drawers sitting in the corner of the room and rummaged through them. "I only have a few clubbing outfits stashed away here. The pants'll fit, since his legs seem to be as long as mine, but I'm not too sure about the shirts. They're all ready tight as it is and he's quite a bit broader than me." With a triumphant cry he pulled out a pair of dark pants, an imitation of the leather that was once found in the past. A belt hung from its loops, wide silver buckle glinting underneath the lights. The sleeveless shirt looked rather small, even for Reno, two wide straps crossing in the front and mesh filling in the rest of it, ending where black lace trimmed the high collar and remaining edges.

"How's that even fit you?" Cloud asked incredulously, taking the shirt from Reno's hands. "Here," he turned to Sephiroth, "you can put on the pants first."

Reno shrugged. "It stretches. Now, while he puts it on, I gotta get in touch with my contact to see if the Boss-man wants him first. If not, I'll hafta put out some inquiries."

"Oh! I want to go too! Can I come?" Yuffie asked excitedly, turning wide, hopeful eyes on Reno.

Reno laughed, "Suit yourself, but I won't bail you out if you get into trouble. Strength enhancements won't work in the Cyber World you know."

Yuffie blinked. "Really? I thought everything carried over to our Avatars."

"Not everything," Sephiroth explained, "The CW connects directly to the neural networks of the human brain and the Central Core System in AI's and robotics. It responds directly to the electric signals sent by these and those signals are relayed to one's Avatar. The speed of the response directly correlates to one's mental capability."

"In other words," Reno rolled his eyes, "the faster you think, the better your Avatar. Some crazies get brain enhancements for this stuff."

"I've heard about those," Cloud murmured. "Isn't the success rate of one of those like 3%?"

"Dammed if I know," Reno shrugged, unhooking the dark headsets from their place on the wall. "I only got one extra connection so you're gonna hafta decide who gets it."

"Let Yuffie have it," Cloud rolled his eyes, ignoring Yuffie's whoop of excitement.

"If you say so." Reno tossed Yuffie one of the headsets and put the other one on his own head. "Come on, get in one of the chairs." He settled himself in one of the two chairs along the wall and pulled down the visor. With a jaunty wave and a, "Later, yo!" he activated the switch.
