30 Days of Fanfic
21 - Sequels - Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
Ahahahahaha yes. Apart from the AU stuff, it's possible to actually tie together all of my Valdemar stuff into a common history. I've also done sequel!fic for Due South, and there's everything in the AU!Moon-verse (
cat_roodknows of what I speak). It's probably a condition or something.
21 - Sequels - Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
22 - Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
23 - When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
24 - Betaing - How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?
25 - Music - Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?
26 - What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?
27 - Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
28 - Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
29 - What is your current project or projects?

...so I actually finally bit the bullet and took my druid up to Mount Hyjal to have a look at the Firelands the other night.
Preeetty, except that I forgot how hard Cataclysm mobs hit D: The only reason I didn't wipe is because, even though the main realm-firster rush has died off, there are still a lot of people starting the zone, and the elites you have to down still give the kill even if you're not the first to aggro them. Also, the breadcrumb questline to activate the Firelands portal totally has you in charge of your own five-man group of NPC 85 druids. I had fun flying around with three other Swift Flight Formed druids (and a goblin on a rocket), yes, yes I did.
The only sucky thing (apart from how damn hard the mobs hit wtf failiest player EVER) is that, like the other portalled areas in Hyjal, you can't fly in Firelands. There goes my cunning plan to go bird and soar around safely out of aggro range and admire the scenery. Poot.
On Sunday, I also decided to delete my human mage (created, as previously stated, purely to explore Stormwind City without pinging to PvP and getting stomped on my Horde druid), and instead rolled a Worgen...druid. Okay, so I really enjoy playing druids? Gilneas as a starting zone is actually interesting (more interesting than the bloody human starting zones, omg), and I'm only slightly upset that playing Worgen means playing Alliance (come, cooome to the Hoooorde, worgen).
In the course of doing Netherwing dailies to hit exalted (waaaaant the Netherwing drake mount), I've been picking up Motes of Mana/Motes of Air like you wouldn't believe, and have been making a moderate killing on both the Horde AH, and the neutral AH in Shattrath (although which muppet spent five minutes shouting at the auctioneer for not talking to her druid before she realised that she was, in fact, in the Aldor bank, and her druid sided with the Scryers, so of course no Aldor NPC is going to speak to her *facepalm*
I should also get back to levelling my secondary professions (fishing, you are the bane of my life. Archeology, I'm not even looking at you) at some point, as part of my continuing mission to end up with a toon who looks like she actually belongs in the game, and is not controlled by a complete failmonster (I take possibly irrational delight in having maxed my primary professions and first aid, in having gotten a Transmutation mastery for Alchemy, in having hit level cap and reputation cap for all of the Horde factions bar Bilgewater Cartel (I have a tabard and I'm intermittently running dungeons for rep, and keep on finding odd lowbie quests. only 15,000 more to go in revered, yay? *headdesk*), and in having quested all of Cataclysm and Wrath to Loremaster. Outland Loremaster and me aren't speaking, and I'm avoiding thinking about EK and Kalimdor for the moment *weeps*)
Also on DreamWidth, comment where you will!
