Wireless, the trials thereof.
So, the DS Match challenge at ds_flashfiction opens for sign ups in half an hour and, not only am I looking to sign myself up for Team Romance, I'm also signing up on behalf of caersmane, who is without net right now.
Predictably, five minutes ago, my wireless decided to throw its toys out the pram and is refusing to acknowledge my laptop. Great timing there, AOL.
So! How am I online, posting this, you ask?
Well, I did give some serious thought to beavering through next door and nicking Boss's computer for five minutes ("But you'd be helping my mental stability, Boss!"), but then the shiny laptop threw me up a message about other wireless networks in the area-- which, duh, I know. It seems like everyone around here has a wireless router-- and then maximised itself without asking. And I noticed that the intermittently around unsecured wireless network was around.
I have flexible morals and a very good firewall set-up.
*coughs*
If I knew who had the network then I would shower them in glitter and internets and cookies, I really would.
