Not much at all, really.

I was all hyped up with the need to post and then I realised that I didn't actually have anything to post about. Well, nothing overly interesting, at any rate.

Um... list format yay?

1) Spent two hours sitting around in a corridor on the phlebotomy ward of the local hospital this morning, instead of having a lie-in.

2) Then spent a further 25 minutes sitting on a chair in the phlebotomy suite being poked by an assortment of people who had the shared opinion that I had no veins in either arm. I did point out that I am/was a regular blood doner (except for right now, because my blood is like the fluid version of a pharmacy) and that if someone could easily poke my veins with a 14 gauge metal cannula, then it shouldn't be much of a hardship to poke a vein with a piddley little 21 gauge vacutainer stylet.

3) Work was all kinds of boring mixed with sad. The boring involved it being quiet enough to justify pulling apart the contents of radiography, lab, dispensary and prep in turn and cleaning the floors with the weird buffer thing and the hideously stinky solvent cleaner (which gave me a headache after five minutes). The sad involved the PTSing of several of our long-term patients who had reached the end of the road, as it were.

4) Despite being sunny this afternoon, it's been bitching cold here today. *shivers*

5) Today contained an adequacy of pie. Wiltshire ham and leek pie for my tea (with potatoes and salad stuff) and then a piece of Missis Misiss Mississi Mud Pie for dessert. I fail at spelling the place, but I definitely appreciate the pie. Mmm, gooey chocolate.

6) I have to work tomorrow. Blergh. The appointments are full already. Blergh. This week has definitely been a post-full-moon week as far as weird phonecalls and general full moon client syndrome goes so I'm fully expecting buckets of strange to fall on the practice tomorrow.

In conclusion? My nose is freezing.

blood tests, state of me
