Hi everyone,

So I've moved into the new apartment (it's beautiful although there's this guy living with us who makes for awkward breakfast conversations), I've started my ISP research and I've cooked dinner for myself for 4 days in a row (pats self on back). I'm basically exhausted. I go to a clinic for 7 hours a day and talk to nurses, health care workers, and patients about TB and HIV and such and take notes on everything that's going on. It's a really cool opportunity. There is NO patient confidentiality. I've watched 5 people get tested for HIV, and when I'm in a room with a nurse and a patient, the nurse will take time to explain things in english to me while the patient is sitting there wondering what's going on. I'm so ready for the weekend. I'm hoping it will be nice weather and I can go to the beach! It's finally getting warm here. I know, I was thinking Africa would be hot too, how very wrong I was.

If I don't talk to any of you before next thursday, have a great thanksgiving! We're planning on getting together and cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I'm taking the day off! We also need to procure a turkey (people only eat turkey here for Christmas so we have to order one from a butcher early). Also, now that I'm living in an apartment, I have a land line which is way cheaper to call. So... if you want to get in touch with me, I'm usually around in the evenings between 6-10:30 (my time, or 7 hours earlier your time). If you want to call me, the number is 27-41-586-4763, that should include the country code.

That's about it for now. I need to do some grocery shopping and then go home and make dinner. I hope you are all doing well. I can't wait to see you all (and it's pretty soon now, crazy). Much love!
