especially that kid on the right in the front with the blue jacket holding his hood up. oh my god, the description of those kids and mobbing cameras is just like my first graders.
i love that no matter where you go, people are just so... human. i'm not being sarcastic or anything, one of the things i love best about people is how human they are. the emotions that everyone experiences and nonverbal communication and all that jazz. i love it. i can't wait to see the millions and millions of pictures of little kids you must have. and of africa too, of course.
i taught my students a lesson on george washington carver yesterday and we had to describe what slaves were and my kids totally didn't get the idea that people might not get to live with their parents and pick out their own jobs and homes and everything. it blew their minds. i think one of the things you can notice with little kids is that they're not all embedded with society's rules yet and their honesty and naivete and just plain human reactions to things are so refreshing. um, anyways. back to working in swem. keep up the pictures and updates, i thrive on them!
