Morning

It is the time of day that most people call afternoon but they cannot fool me its morning and I feel like death has chewed me up and spit me out. I came home from work last night and watched the original Ghost in the Shell, it has been ages since I have seen the movie and it brought interesting thoughts to mind. I found myself wondering about what it is that makes us human. I mean we are basically electro chemical machines all of our experienced can be broken down into electrical impulses and chemicals. So I go further and think perhaps it is the sum of our parts that makes us human but then it that is true someone who is an amputee and has a prosthetic limb or anyone who for one reason or another has lost internal organs or something of that nature would not be as human as one who has all the original parts. In a physical make up sort of way this is true but it is not true in the philosophical areas of thought that is the most important and those who are missing parts are still just as human as anyone else. Then it comes to me it is from Heinlein Humans are the animals that laugh I add to this though as we can laugh and love and make friends and enemies it is everything the hole emotional gambit that makes us human it is not something that can truly be put into words it is much deeper. I know there are people who will say I left thing out of this like the fact that humans have a soul and other things of that nature but that is because I wanted to break things down further than that and I did not have all day to type my thoughts maybe later.
