not much has changed?
It's been 19 weeks since I posted. Nearly 5 months. If I do the same again, I'll be almost done with the program. In some ways, that's awfully comforting. 2008 was a big year. A hard year. 2009 will be even bigger. I'll see if I can make it through this program. I'll have my master's degree in May. I'll see what kinda job I am qualified for in Providence. I'll move home for a couple of months. Matt and I are moving in together in August. If I weren't so po', I'd see if one of the future inhabitants of my apt was going to be away for the summer so I could have one last burst of college-style living. But then I guess I'll have one last burst of child-style living instead. Either way, I'm kinda gonna have to come to terms with growing up in 2009. With, if I can possibly swing it, a short break for one hell of a Spring Weekend and commencement week.
In the short term, I need to start lesson plans today. Shannon is coming back from China and will be here on my birthday, one week from today... and I might be too busy to really see her, which is the biggest set of gorilla balls I can imagine. Hopefully I'll get details soon so I can work *something* out...
And for now, for New Year's Day, I'm going to forget the 10 pounds I gained over the course of December, sit on my butt with some pepperoni pizza, and watch Battlestar Galactica. And then maybe see if Mom wants to go to a movie.
