Nothing on the Beast

I need more projects that are small. And by "small," I mean that take less time to complete. Right now I am in a productive phase, but I am doing it by a goal-oriented method: measuring productivity by what projects I complete, as opposed to what tasks I get accomplished on a given project.

Measuring by numbers does drive me to completion faster, and I have far less of a tendency to procrastinate. Because I measure productivity in numbers, though, I feel bad when I have a week (or two) in which nothing gets completed. Hence the need for smaller projects - I need some successes that aren't terribly hard-won. I should probably take on making some new veils, now that I think about it - those are pretty quick, and I need some.

I haven't made any new dents in the Beast backlog, because I took on new projects for Crown. This makes me a little sad, actually. As much as I enjoy the new projects, the old ones still feel like they are hanging over my head. Bleah. Maybe I can finish a hat or something.

On another note, though, WW was last night. And despite the cheese and pate binge Tuesday (I simply cannot say "no" to cheese - it's my downfall, especially if there's also wine) I managed to lose weight this week. More than a pound, which is encouraging.
