Sooo I bought a kindle and it just arrived so NOW I NEED TO FILL IT WITH BOOKS.
Suggestions/recommendations, please! :3 I'm pretty easy going with what I read but
this is my 'awesome' shelf on goodreads and
this is my favourites shelf if you want suggestions for where to start?
Anything by Trudi Canavan. Especially the Black Magician trilogies (called The Black Magician Trilogy and The Traitor Spy Trilogy)! Mostly because they're absolutely amazing but also because I would seriously pay to have another fan to squee with sometimes holy shit...
The Saga of Darren Shan by Darren Shan (yes, yes, I know, YOU'LL UNDERSTAND) as well as The Saga of Larten Crepsley. The former is kind of a "you have to grow up with it" kind of thing (you know, a bit like Harry Potter) since it starts out as something for ten-year old boys but it's worth it for all the damn feels you'll have about the latter as a result oh my god :'| All of Darren Shan's books are pretty damn great though, if you don't want to commit to a twelve-book series I really recommend The Thin Executioner or even the City trilogy. He published a new book last month called Lady of the Shades that I haven't read yet but a lot of other fans have said it's his best one yet SO YOU KNOW. Just... Darren Shan!
man I had some more but I highly doubt they're available for the kindle or even as physical books anymore so idk... I'm actually not as well-read as I think I am >_>
(if you haven't read The Hobbit and you're planning to see the movies maybe you should try that though? :D)

I JUST REALLY LOVED THE VAMPIRES LIKE THEY WERE REALLY WELL CREATED

now idk what your thoughts are on Twilight but damn Darren Shan's vampires are disgustingly well made, I can't even view vampires like I used to, I just wish I could read Darren Shan vampires all the time omg
... I read all 12 books like two months ago and now I want to read them again because I'm having a feelgasm XD

personally I find it a bit hard to watch :( I don't even know why I bought it on dvd because I haven't been able to watch it ;___;
idk it's not really a bad movie, it's just a really, really bad adaptation if that makes sense? D: I wouldn't be so bitter if there was another movie that followed the books more closely but avhsgfagh :(
AND YES EVRA WAS AWESOME, actually XD even though he didn't at all match the image I had of him from the books (he's one of my favourite characters too damnit!) his parts were at least enjoyable, while Crepsley... *sob*

BUT OMG THE TRAITOR SPY TRILOGY YOU SHOULD GET ON THAT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE O_O I sat up all night reading when I got the last book and pretty much livetweeted all my feelings for twelve hours and when I was done I went into post-series depression like nothing I've ever felt since I read DH EXCEPT THIS TIME THERE WAS NO FANDOM THERE TO SHARE MY PAIN
SO YES
man I wish I could read fic and draw fanart and discuss about this series on the same level as Harry Potter... but I've actually never met anyone who shares my enthusiasm (or even knowledge tbh) so it's tough XD gotta admit it takes a great deal of self-restraint for me to not throw myself at your inbox or something with an essay on all my feels right now XD
