Thank you, Alisa. For some reason people here go into 2 extremes where architecture is concerned - they either radical modernists or unquestioning "antiquarians". Both groups are getting on my nerves.

I know what you mean. Mind you, I am as nostalgic as they come. I get very attached to old and familiar things, but (I hope) I can still tell such attachment from an aesthetic appreciation. It's kind of the same with old songs: some of them sounded really annoying when I first heard them, but now they remind me of this and that...
