2009 and 2010 have been very tough years for me, with a lot of personal problems and sad moments, but also with some highlights, including some wonderful moments with my closest friends, trips to Hawaii, Austin, San Francisco, Wroclaw and the Baltic Coast, and getting what I believe will be my dream job, which starts in 2011. The highlight I want to share with you today is getting some of my fiction published.
In July 2010, the anthology
Cover Stories came out, with 100 short stories in it, all inspired in some way by music. The form is called euphiction: stories of 1000 words or less inspired by one particular song. Ten of those stories are mine, and I'm very proud of them. Getting published was wonderful, quite frankly.
This week at the Cover Stories blog, some of the other authors and I are posting new short stories that will be exclusive to the blog. They are inspired by Christmas songs.
The first two are up: Suzi M.'s awesome and twisted
Home for Christmas and A.C. Noia's take on one Christmas legend
Traditions of Christmas. They're both worth checking out. Tomorrow, I'll post my Christmas euphiction A Merry Little Christmas. I hope you'll enjoy it.
All the best,
Derek
