Grave of the Fireflies
We watched "Hotaru no Haka" ("Grave of the Fireflies") for Japanese Culture and Civilization class today. It's a very moving anime set in World War II Japan, and I highly recommend it. However, be warned: well over half the class had tears in their eyes at the end, even people who'd seen it before. The teacher cried, I cried, the tough dude who sits beside me cried. It's a great film, but have someone there to hug you afterwards.
