I have arrived.

Friday night was the best night I have had in months, New Orleans and Israel notwithstanding. Okay, so the best night in Seattle I've had in a long time. The point is, Friday night made me happy.

Steel Tigers of Death were playing at The Funhouse, which is always good times. I was already on the bus there by the time I realized that this night would be the first time I had seen the boys since my interview with them came out in Razorcake (not counting Brad). Even though I had heard Morgan and Mike's reactions via e-mail, I was looking forward to hearing it in person.
It never even occurred to me to hope that other non-tiger people might have read the article as well.
Not only were the Tigers verbal about how pleased they were with the article, I heard from several other people as well. Mikey and Naomi had both read it and liked it. The bassist from Android Hero (fuck, is his name Aaron or Eric?) was really jazzed about it (partially because the Tigers all said their favorite record of the year was the new Android Hero, I'm sure). Then a girl who I think said she was Matty from Android Hero's girlfriend said she thought it was awesome. It seemed like all night people were saying, "Oh, you did the STD interview in Razorcake? That's awesome!" Mike informed me that he had gotten in trouble for making me their #1 MySpace friend (putting me ahead of one band girlfriend and one band wife. Oh yeah, I got mad scene points). Dude from Android Hero said he'd bring me a copy of their unreleased full-length at their next show.

I'm not going to lie to you. I kinda felt like a rock star.

Now you too can share the joy and learn what EVERYONE in Seattle is talking about! For a mere three dollars, you can own the infamous issue #46 of Razorcake, the nation's premiere underground non-profit music magazine! This issue features not only an interview with yours truly and the Satin Tigres del Muerto, but also comics by my dear friend Mr. Mitch Clem and Sir Ben Snakepit. Gape in awe as the Inimitable Nardwuar the Human Serviette interviews N.E.R.D.! Educate yourself with Jim Ruland's list of the best pubs in Ireland! Just buy the damn thing.
