Ironically, they don't have an attic.

When Knives in the Attic toured through here last summer and said they were planning to move back to Seattle that fall, I was ecstatic. Not only are they one of my favorite bands to see live, they're cool people. However, when time after time they pushed back the move date, I decided I'd believe it when I actually saw them here in Seattle.
Well, today was that fateful day. I went over to their house in Ballard, which is actually pretty nice and spacious. They have a basement that's basically another room, so they can practice there and not have to pay for practice space. Secretly, I wish they didn't need to practice down there so I could convince them to let me live there, but that's the impending-lease-ending-with-no-alternative-in-sight talking.
They also have a nice backyard, which is good because they got a puppy. He's an adorable 6 month old mutt named Roland, with huge feet he has yet to grow into. He warmed up to me a little, but he's still very much a puppy, with pretty atrocious manners.
We hung out and talked and watched stupid internet animations and Heroes and had hash browns and what Chris calls Vendetta Eggs for dinner (y'know, fried bread with an egg in the center). Sage was gone for most of the time because he was out job-hunting; I told him to try the Queen Anne Splatters, so he submitted his resume. I'll put in a good word for him with Dean, hopefully that'll do the trick.

I'm so pleased that they've come back to Seattle. As soon as they start playing shows again, my life will be complete.
Or at least completer.
