Oh, the cleverness of me!

Here at Splatters, Manager Dean and I have a bit of what you might call a gentleman's wager going on. There are no stakes in particular, we're just fighting for the coveted (read: not really) spot of #1 Top Seller in Folk. He's pushing Greg Brown's Evening Call, while my champion is Chris Thile's How to Grow a Woman From the Ground, which should surprise exactly none of you.
I am pleased to announce that for the last two weeks, I'm ahead of Dean, although the Be Good Tanya's are still beating us both for the top spot. I am especially tickled to say that in this past week, I have sold two different people on the Chris Thile who initially expressed some negative reaction to it. Is it my most persuasive skill as a saleswoman? Thile's own prowess as performer and arranger? 'Tis no matter.
The one simple fact is: I WIN.

In other news, my current source of pure joy is Alan Tudyk's audition tape in the special features on the Firefly DVD. Every time I watch it my heart is flooded with the very purest essence of joy.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

In yet further news, I'm on my lunch break, listening to "The House of Tom Bombadil" on my laptop, and Steve A and Aislinn just came back and had an improptu barn dance. It was quite festive.
