So, my dear friend Mitch had an interview over at
Comixpedia recently, and I just now got around to reading it. It was amusing, and I totally loved that he gave LSR props. The only thing that made me snerk was that the interviewer veiled his fanboyness a little too thinly, and the whole thing reminded me how much I hate e-mail interviews as a format. It's just flat; it doesn't read like a conversation, which is how interviews should. Plus, the interviewees tend to ramble on a bit (sorry, Mitch).
It got my zine-making itch back up, though. I swear, as soon as this quarter is over...mark my words, zinery will commence. If anyone is interested in writing/drawing/creating anything they want to submit, let me know. Right now we're looking at a sort of jumble of some of my good pieces from my time at The Jibsheet, including some of my columns. Plus, Operation Make Leslie Crazy Famous will have a stake in the zine, so a big chunk of it will be Leslie's awesome art. Justin (of the Pierre variety) is still saying he wants to write something, but we'll see if he actually has time/remembers.
I need to get this done, to satisfy my itch and further Operation MLCF as much as so I can bring a copy to the cute chick who works at the donut shop in Pike Place. She gave me free donuts because of my "make zines, not war" button, for those of you following along at home, and I promised her a copy of my zine in return.
I spent ALL DAY today doing back-work for my Chemistry class. I did two full chapters' worth of homework, which is a lot for one day. Unfortunately I still have more to do, but it's a jaunt in the right direction.
Have I mentioned how much I totally love this album? I do. A lot.
