'scuse me, while I kiss this guy

It's funny to joke about people hearing song lyrics incorrectly, like me (alledgedly) thinking the Gin Blossoms wrote a song about a girl named Chelsea or Corey thinking that Rivers Cuomo was tired of being bread.
But it's just not funny when people mishear song lyrics by Fall Out Boy, because that crazy bastard sings like his mouth is broken. Every misheard lyrics of theirs takes an extreme leap of faith to actually hear the real words.

Case in point: "Grand Theft Autumn," also known as "Where Is Your Boy." He sings "You need him? I could be him." But he says it like "ja nee' heeeeem," so that people are constantly hearing "Janeane, I could be him!"

Dear Fall Out Boy guy,
If you have to post an FAQ on your website and your myspace page dispelling rumors about what your lyrics say? Maybe you should try ENUNCIATING.

love,
Sarah

I am gripped with a desire to do an entire series of comics about people hearing girls' names where there are none. But I am also (less strongly) gripped with a desire not to fail Chemistry.

CUSSES.
