Don't put your triples near me.

It's sunny, bright and warm, fresh springy breeze. For some reason, this weather makes me miss Moscow. I'd love to stroll around Moscow's streets in this weather. (Except the weather in Russia is very different from the weather here at the moment.)

I went skating last night. The top 5 things I hate in public sessions include:
- drunk people on ice
- people who are twice as wide as me and can't skate properly playing tag
- people who don't look where they're going
- people who skate in all directions, at high speeds, or throw themselves down on the ice for fun
- crappy post-hockey-practice ice
Last night's session included all five and yet, somehow, it turned out to be quite good for me. My spins felt better than the last two times, closer to normal, and oh, I just love it when I find my center and hit the 'sweet spot' (which is really called that, according to ladyclayton's coach! :D) and just spin spin spin. I could even do semi-decent sit spins again.
I dared to jump a bit more and my jumps felt more normal again. I think that fall I took had sort of thrown me off balance, in general? So I'm glad things seem to be getting better. My waltz jump is certainly back and I focused on having a nice, flowing edge on the ride out. Toeloops are a little better, too, which makes me happy after all the 1T-crappiness in the past months. I could finally jump the salchow again properly. Well, I still love the loop, but I tell myself that I don't get to do a billion of those just because I love them, hehe. And I even landed a few flips, ugly as they were.
I also did some step & turn combinations, which was fun!

One of the figure skater men was there, the one who spins/jumps clockwise. He always ignores everybody, even the music - he skates with headphones in. But well, what I wanted to say - he picks up some serious speed on the ice and it's kind of scary (even when he doesn't do anything but crossovers). He's tall - so tall that I only reach up to his shoulders! And tall figure skaters make me think of Evan, so whenever this guy is skating, I entertain myself with thoughts of him. I always come to the conclusion that sharing the ice with Evan, or someone like Evan, would be SUPER SCARY. Because having someone this tall move so fast is scary enough. Having someone this tall move so fast AND jump triples. I'd run and hide. ;)

PS: Hockey players are disgusting. They spit all over the floor by the benches where they sit during their practice when they're not on the ice - the floor was covered in spots of saliva. Ew!
